This spot used to be Bella's for a long time. I think they or the neighboring spot had a fire, and I guess Nino said that's the end of that. When you walk in to the new spot, you immediately appreciate the quality of the renovations that we're done. In my opinion, it's one of the best looking pizza joints of its kind that I've seen. Very organic, stylish, and it offers indoor and outdoor seating. Service is personable and friendly. The only reason for the three stars instead of higher is that there a number of options in the close area that offer better pizza at lower prices, both significant considerations when assessing/reviewing a spot. However, it's worth stopping in.
Update, and lowered rating: I just picked up a sausage and mushroom stromboli from them because it's late and they're close by, and instead of a hearty portion of mozzarella in there like every other place on the planet, they put... french fries?! I mean, there's a LITTLE bit of mozzarella in there, maybe? Not even sure, to be honest. But clumps of sausage, mini mushrooms, and I kid you not there's french fries. Seriously, why did I give them a second try? I should've just gone to Wendy's. Still great decor, but... french fries in stromboli instead of lots of mozzarella??? Did I miss a meeting or something? Not going to bother calling them to get it right. Not gonna waste the food, I'm eating it, but this does not taste good. ...

Read moreI grew up in the pizza parlor and nail salon capital of the world, Bayonne, New Jersey, so I know good pizza. Master Pizza is supposed to be the best in Essex County. Maybe it is, but if so, I'm sorry, Essex County. The quality reminds me of Plaza Pizza in Secaucus. Not bad. I had the spinach and egg drop soup. The broth was bland which messes up the whole soup. I recommend the spinach and egg drop soup from Frank's Pizza in Lake Hopatcong, NJ. That is the best!! Master Pizza was a bit doughy. The sauce wasn't quite savory enough. The cheese was good. I had a garlic pie. That was solid. It's pizza! It just left something to be desired. The place looks cool on the outside. A bit of space inside. The staff was working hard and nice. Maybe I'll try it again sometime. Let me know...
