Jack's Donuts of Carmel — Restaurant in Carmel

Donuts and more donuts, who could ask for anything more except signature coffee and service with a smile! Jack’s makes some of the most delicious and large donuts in Carmel! My granddaughter sees the Jack’s Donuts sign from her car seat in the back of my car and screams, “DONUTS!” She knows how to order and she orders the same thing every time we’re there. “I’d like a bag of donuts, please,” she says sweetly in her tiny three year old voice. I follow up with the explanation that she wants one dozen yeast donut holes. My favorites are the croissant donuts, the yeast twist(which is almost as long as my granddaughter’s arm😂), and the Bavarian cream filled. My youngest daughter enjoys the circle twist cinnamon and yeast donut, and my oldest daughter loves anything different like one of Jack’s divinely creative breakfast cereal donuts. There are tables to sit and enjoy yourself over a cup of fresh brewed coffee or a milk for the kiddos, a television for the adults, and a little area for the kids as well. Jack’s also sells some pretty neat t-shirts too! (I just wished they sold them in big girl sizes 😞). There are restrooms and a sanitizer dispenser at the entrance door for those people like me that just want to grab a few donuts and scarf them down in the privacy of our car behind tinted windows! I stopped in this morning 5/6 because I read that Jacks carried gluten free donuts. The women behind the counter was immediatly irritated when i asked for them. She did not tell me what kind they had just put them in a bag and handed them to me. I ordered coffee as well and opened the bag while I was making it. The donuts were frozen solid. I told her I did not want them. She said she could not give me my money back. I then asked if I could trade for regular donuts and at first she said no since the price is not the same. I stood there since I was not leaving with no donuts, so she agreed to give me six regular donuts. Long story short whoever hired this women who said her name was Keish should rethink it. There was another women in the store who left when she heard the way she was talking to me. Im sure it takes alot of donut sales to keep the doors open and with someone like that behind your counter you will be out of...

I’m not sure if donut slingers or customer service representatives work at this shop but I felt deeply slung. Terribly rude!

Purchasing a gift card, I was not offered the gift card promotion by the attendant. I noticed the discrepancy seconds after my purchase and she rudely informed me that it was too late and I was doomed for ever to live without the blessing of the promotion though my card was for $5 more than the promotion purchase limit. Possibly, I would have been interested. Apparently she could not care less what I wanted. I am never angry at this sort of thing. But she offended me again when I made a polite joke to smooth over my feelings. Maybe she was having a bad day or maybe she just didn’t like me. But it was her job to mask her feelings from me and make me feel wanted and she failed. I am very sorry I ever stepped into this donut...
