Great food anPho Plus, located on 116th Street in Carmel, is a small, cosy pho outlet with a surprising taste hidden beneath its understatement. The moment you open the door, the aroma of hot soup and the freshness of lime herb come to your face, instantly bringing you into the healing world of pho. The signature raw beef Pho Tai is a must -- the soup is clear but deep, you can taste the sweetness of the slow-boiled beef bones, and is paired with thin slices of raw beef, which are heated until pink and delicate. The noodles are smooth and not soft and rotten, with bean sprouts, nine-layer tower and rice spicy, layered sense. Specially recommended with the store's special seafood sauce, slightly sweet and spicy, instantly activate the taste buds. I also tried the fried spring rolls, the outer skin is crisp and not greasy, the stuffing is just the right proportion of pork noodles, and the dipping fish sauce adds flavor. The service is friendly and efficient, with staff actively asking for preferences and recommending dishes. The restaurant environment is simple and bright, wooden tables and chairs and warm lights create a sense of family, suitable for eating alone or gathering with friends. At $12- $15 per person, the Carmel area is a good value for money, especially for a bowl of warm soup on a cold day. Highlights: The soup base is mellow, the beef is fresh, and the portions are realistic Tip: The busy lunch period is recommended to cross the peak, and the parking lot at the entrance is spacious and convenient. If you're looking for a bowl of authentic Pho in central Indiana, Pho Plus is worth the trip.d...
Read moreWe live in Carmel and come here for dinner very often. We used to like it. However, with each visit, the amount of bean sprouts has been getting smaller and smaller. Today, the amount was so little it looked like someone had already eaten part of it. Here's a photo of what we were served at the start. You can barely see it on the plate.
We asked the server to bring us more bean sprouts because they are one of the main ingredients in pho soup. Considering that the cost of this product in an Asian store is $3 per bag, it was very strange that she was so adamant about refusing. Unfortunately, instead of bringing us a bit more, she argued with us and insisted that this is the standard portion for one person. Today’s visit left a very unpleasant impression. We were not asking for more meat for free :)).
Otherwise, everything went fine, and the dishes were...
Read moreI was just going to let this go, but I got a response from the owner for my blank 1-star review. They talk about how busy it was that day. That would be fine, if it wasn't for the family who walked in in front of me, who did not seem so inconvenienced by time. They sat down, got drinks and ordered in 5 minutes. I'm sitting in the back, and 10 minutes go by, and no one even comes up to say hi. Finally a server comes after 15 minutes. I order pho, which should be fast. After I order, that other family gets their food. Then I wait, I wait, I wait, another 15 minutes, and no food. I no longer have time to eat, so I just had to go. Busy is ok if everyone is getting the same service. But when I see one family get good service, and I get very bad service next to them,...
