my autistic 5 year old and i have gone to off the wall since he was 3, with zero issues. we used to work with coach anna with only good things to say, he recently advanced and got a new coach, with summer ending the coach he enjoyed left. he missed 2 classes in a row due to personal events, which if you know anything about autistic children this was very hard for him, we also came in and there was a new coach. during class i am very involved, barely on my phone, watching and helping keep my son in check. during this specific class him and a friend grabbed the same cone, i told my son don't get mad its just a cone, let it go. again they grabbed the same cone and this angered my son, he hit the friend with a cone, i immediately get up go through all the bleachers, across 2 other fields, it probably took 40 seconds to get to him, but i was going as fast as i could. when i get to the field i planned on grabbing him and taking him to the bathroom to speak privately. when i got to the field the coach screamed at me "if hes not gonna listen to me and stop when i say stop you guys can't come here anymore!" i was so taken aback as this was his first issue, ever. i informed him that he is autistic, the coach said "IM AUTISTIC TOO AND I DIDNT ACT LIKE THAT WHEN I WAS A KID" which is crazy to say and assuming that all autistic individuals have the exact same struggles. i immediately went to the front, in tears, who apologized for the coachs actions and assured me my son would not be kicked off the team - he said each child would be given 3-5 warnings regarding hitting before being kicked out of soccer. he gave us a coupon for a bounce house visit, i didn't take my son that day as he did act up, we would go next week. The guy in the front stated he would get my complaint to the higher-ups as well as my request for a different coach in place of Aden. no one ever called me. I reached out again on Friday before the Class on Saturday and spoke with a man explained everything and he said someone would call me Before the end of today They did not I called on Saturday and left a three minute long voicemail explaining everything Requesting a refund for the remaining classes hoping that would urge someone to call me and discuss this pretty serious matter of discrimination of a disabled child, my child was not treated as any other child, he was given less grace than a neurotypical child. which is crazy considering they are giving so much grace to an autistic ADULT, my son is 5. i would recommend not sending your child here unless you are all ready to be removed from class at any point and ready to find somewhere new. changing schedules and finding a new place to play soccer at will be very difficult for my son, causing more issues im sure. it also showed to a 5 year old that you can never make a mistake. we also never even got to use the bounce house coupon we received. i haven't even broken the news to him yet that soccer is over. hes gonna be crushed, they always do parent week the last class and hes been looking forward to it since last season when i forgot my shoes. i am truly disgusted and disappointed with how this was handled, again no one everrrrr reached out to me to even apologize or discuss, just refunded me a small amount. someone in the business needs to research on working with autistic children, i really hope this never happens to another child. it sounds small to the business but to my son this is life changing. you still have my contact information to reach...
Read moreMy 10 year old had a birthday party here. The first half of the party was supposed to be flag football (and I confirmed the week of), but after the kids were on the field, it turned out to be two-hand touch. It was fine, but I would have preferred flag football because one of the kiddos has a health condition and we were trying to minimize the potential for him to get hurt. I chose not to say anything because the kids had already been on the field for 10-15 minutes by the time I was done greeting parents and walked to the field. That being said, the kids had fun and no one got hurt.
The second half of the party was pizza and cake in the party area. I had ordered HotBox pizza through Off The Wall Sports, and it was incredibly easy. The pizza was ready to go when the kids moved to the party area. Everything was good until the very end.
I had incorrectly assumed that the party itself was one hour and forty-five minutes long, not that we had to be cleaned up and cleared out at the hour and forty-five minute mark. I, also, assumed we’d have time after the party to clean up and pack up. Nothing was communicated with me to indicate otherwise. Toward the hour and a half mark, a staff member who was not our party host had come by a couple of times and asked if we needed help with anything. Apparently, this was a passive cue to pack up.
We were a bit past the end of our party and were packing up slowly (again, I assumed we’d have 10-15 minutes after the party to pack up) when our party host came over and yelled at the kids to get off the table and that another party was starting in a few minutes. They barely had time to grab their things. This should have been communicated with me, the parent, not the kids. Though I don’t think the kids cared, I did. It was super off-putting and could have been avoided with clear communication both when I scheduled and the day of the party. My son enjoyed his day, but my husband and I agree that we won’t be having a...

If you're looking for a place to get your soccer fix, sweat out last night's pizza, and maybe even cry a little (just me?) – Off the Wall Sports in Carmel is the spot!
This winter, I joined their indoor soccer league, and let me tell you, it was a wild ride. I mean, who doesn't love running around like a lunatic, kicking a ball, and yelling at strangers (just kidding, we're all friends now)?
Facility: 4.5/5 (would be 5 if they had a nap room)
Off the Wall Sports has got the goods: nice turf fields, decent lighting (I didn't trip once!), and a concession stand with snacks to fuel your game (or your spectator self).
Staff and Organization: 5/5 (shoutout to the refs for not yelling at me too much).
The staff was on point, folks! From scheduling to refereeing, they kept everything running smoothly. I mean, I only got yelled at twice (just kidding, it was more like five times).
League Experience: 4.5/5 (would be 5 if we'd won more games)
The league was a blast! We had a great mix of competitive and recreational teams, and our games were always scheduled at reasonable times (i.e., not at 6 a.m. on a Sunday).
Fun Factor: 5/5 (I'd give it more if I could)
This is the most important part: I had an absolute blast! Off the Wall Sports has an electric atmosphere that's contagious. Even when we were getting creamed (which was often), I still had a smile on my face.
Overall Rating: 4.5/5 (will definitely be back for more).
If you're looking for a fun, slightly competitive, and totally sweat-inducing experience – Off the Wall Sports is the place to be!
Tips for Future Players:
_Bring water (and a towel, and a change of clothes...). _Don't be like me and trip over your own feet. _Remember to have fun (and not take it too seriously – it's just...
