Pete's Crab House — Restaurant in Carney

If I could give zero stars I would. If you like salt u may like the crabs. They are bathed in salt and are not the typical maryland crab taste what so ever. . I ate one and felt sick. My lips were numb bc of the salt. I ordered large males, they sold my crabs because I had to run home and grab my money I forgot, came right back and my crabs were gone. He makes me so called medium male crabs that were horrific in size. The crabs were hollow. I love crabs and this place made me feel like I won't be eating any crabs for a long time. Im totally turned off. It's two people trying to answer phones, steam crabs, take orders, ring people up ect. He was talking crap about DONS crabs... just did not have a attitude that a person running an establishment should have. I was ripped off. I'd never tell anyone to get crabs from here ever. If it was the last crab place on earth I wouldnt eat there. Nasty nasty nasty nasty nasty. Don't waste your money!!!! Conrads is where I typically go and they are awesome!!!!! I read all the reviews yesterday about Pete's crabs and I called and ordered 2 dozen for my birthday. Well I was very disappointed in the crabs. I am 60 years old and so I have been eating crabs for many years. The mustard was so dry that I couldn't get it out with a knife and so were the claws. On two of the crabs I had to stick 2 knives in them to get the top shell off, I THINK they re heated them or over cooked them. The next day I called to complain and ask them to take the crabs back and give us fresh ones that are cooked properly and he was rude and did not care. He would do nothing for me for this order but said he would give me a couple extra the next time I order. WELL I WILL NEVER order there again. I called this place earlier to inquire about purchasing a dozen of crabs and I was told by the young man who answered the phone that the crabs had just arrived today and that they are prepared to order. When I arrived about 20 minutes later I didn't smell any crabs streaming at all. I asked the young man if my order had been prepared. He said yes and went in the back to get my crabs. Apparently he was the only staff in the store at the time. When I got in the car and looked in the bag the crabs were warm and it seemed like he just reheated them and threw them in the bag.
