On Sat 10/21 I was waiting outside for their doors to open. Finally a few min past 11, I was the first and only person there to place an order. I ordered fish tacos and a guava empanada. Empanada was decent. But the fish tacos...omg. The absolute worse I ever had in my life. I don't know if it was bc they were just opening and didn't have any food prepared for the day or what. But I kid u not, the fish on my tacos had to be leftover from the night before or maybe even 2 days before! It was cold. It was DRY. It was hard. It was tough and chewy. Like, I couldn't believe they would serve me something like that. It was a to go order, so it was too late for me to order something different. There's no kind of sauce on the tacos, I even asked for sauce, but they wanted to charge an extra dollar just for hot sauce and mayo/ketchup. I'm glad I didn't get the sauce though bc it would not have helped at all. I was so disappointed bc I had been vacationing there all week and was determined to have one order of fish tacos before I left the island. It was a MUST. I was craving them soooo bad. So I read the reviews on this place and stopped there before my flight. It's very unfortunate that this was how my trip had to end....with a bad taste in my...
Read morePa' Pical was walking distance from where we were staying. Two nights we grabbed food and one night we grabbed drinks. Outside of convenience, though, we went back because of how good the food ended up being - like surprisingly good.
We'd grab a basket of empanadas and some carne frita. Sit around, reflect on the day, and listen to the music playing. It was chill - but lively. You'd have people grabbing drinks and talking or sitting on the patio playing dominos. It felt local, authentic, welcoming.
They have some other foods, as well, and the fish tacos we saw others eating looked incredible. If we would have had more time, we'd likely have grabbed more of the food off the menu.
It may not be much to look at (though it has a solid vibe) and there isn't much parking around, but I'd try to find a way to spend an evening hanging out and enjoying the atmosphere. This ranks up there with some of our...
Read moreIf I could give this place 20 stars I would. The empanadas, while small, are the best we have had in PR. They are fresh and tasty as all heck. YUMMMM! You would not think this is the spot with the best ones. But we stopped in on a whim and every time we go to PR we stop in multiple times. The spot itself is super chill and laid back. They sell beer as well. The music is dope. You get a combo of both locals and tourists. But it is definitely a chill spot. The walls are all tagged up so bring your marker. We recommend the guava and cheese for desert and the beef and cheese. But in all honestly, we tried so many of them and they are soo yummy. There is not a time we have ordered less than 6 when visiting. The staff is bilingual and cool as hell. Super chill and friendly place. LOVE IT! The did this...
