B-Side Lounge — Restaurant in Carrboro

We worked with the team at B-Side for our rehearsal dinner and it was a phenomenal success. The space is lovely and perfect for the type of intimate evening we were hoping for with our family and closest friends. All our guests loved the Southern style food and the B-Side team was flexible with beverages as we wanted to use their beer on tap and bring in our own wine (after paying the corkage fee). The team also worked with us to help set up the space with our decor during the afternoon before the dinner. Ahead of the day, the team also sent us helpful info about the room’s layout that allowed us to assign seats and make decor choices accordingly. The event planner at the time worked this as a part-time gig- while she was incredibly helpful, accommodating and kind, it is worth bearing in mind for other couples since we had to be more flexible with communication timing, etc.

Note: We initially planned to have the event catered by Crossties - B-Side’s sister restaurant - in the B-Side space. However, midsummer before our October wedding, Crossties closed. We found this out simply by chance as we drove by the building. We contacted B-Side immediately and they quickly got back to us and explained that the closure should not affect our event. We would have appreciated a heads up in advance of the closure but we were very glad that everything turned out...

Sure there is signage that is posted in the dark or behind the restaurants sign for towing... Visiting home from out of state after not being here for some time. The restaurant was busy so we put our name in to get a table and told them we would go to another bar to return when available. Came back to my truck towed by the property manager. This was absolutely ridiculous as we wanted to go to B Side Lounge and returned to do so. B Side Lounge lost my business that night and will never return and I hope no one else returns to this area to experience the same thing. Save yourself $300 cash or $380...

Great bartender and service. Really nice vibe. Low lighting, several cozy spots to spread out with a group. I have to say the music seemed hilariously out of place, bounced around in off par alternative rock stratosphere. Not to disparage the place at all. It was just odd enough to be noticeable. Went on a Wednesday where the half priced bottles of wine deal lives. Our server was diligent with keeping the table supplied with water, which was much appreciated.
