I don't think you can give no stars and still be able to leave a review so I gave this place one star for past experiences. I live 2 blocks from this place so I take my grandchildren down here once or twice a month for an ice cream but my most recent and very last experience with this place was not very good. My two grandsons are 13 and 6 we came here for an ice cream after working in the yard all day, they worked hard and wanted an ice cream the six-year-old had managed to consume about 4- 20 oz bottles of water in about 3 hours time and was peeing about every five minutes when we walked in the store he was clutching himself asking if he could use their bathroom I know where the bathrooms at my son-in-law used it last time we were there but he's a tall handsome man these two young girls didn't have the same pitty on the six year old that really needed to pee bad I was told they didn't have a public restroom I pointed to my six year old grandson and said he just needs to pee they said sorry we don't have a public restroom you can go across the street I told the young girls that's okay if I walk out the door it's not going to be to go across the street I'll go someplace else to buy the ice cream both the girls said that's fine you have a good day I paid the same compliment back to them and left. So I understand if you don't want to let your patrons use your toilet however the same patrons can refuse to ever use your business again and can leave you a bad review. It wasn't just this experience almost every time I go in the people don't seem happy that you stop by to buy an ice cream from them they almost seem like it's a hassle so I'd suggest driving about a mile North to Josey Ranch and setting on the north east corner just around the corner from Albertsons is an ice cream shop called 8 degrees below, they for your ice cream onto a cold Grill freeze it roll it up with your favorites goody inside and they're delicious and fun to watch and a lot nicer people And to Beth Marie's old fashioned ice cream parlor I...
Read moreGood for ice cream cones but not much else. The girl behind the counter charged me for a vanilla ice cream soda and had me pay before making sure that all of the ingredients were available. She got mad at me when she found out she was out of vanilla syrup and I didn't want a different flavor and she complained that I had already paid for it instead of asking if I wanted something else or a refund (perhaps complete the order first before charging me or make sure you have the ingredients? Nah, too easy). She got more annoyed when I suggested just giving me a small shake which was cheaper but she didn't understand until I pointed it out on the menu board and told her not to worry about the difference. No apology was given by her. Two stars instead of one because of the ice cream that my wife and granddaughter got from the guy behind the counter who had excellent customer service for them. When my wife told him that he should be a manager the girl interrupted them while making my substandard shake to say "we're both managers." Maybe concentrate on the instructions that you had to read in order to make the shake instead of interrupting someone else's conversation? I had gone to this location before the pandemic and at least that time they said they could not make the ice cream soda (appreciated their honesty) Thought I would try to give them another chance and I really shouldn't have, at least not for anything more difficult...
Read moreGreat Ice Cream, but don't ask for a shake/malt!!!
So I went here the other weekend and there were three people working (2 experienced employees and a new trainee). I ordered two pints of ice cream and a large malt. While the man serving me was preparing the pints, the other server offered to make my malt and show the new trainee how to make a shake and he agreed.
The second server making the malt asked my original server how much the scale needed to read for the proper amount of ice cream in a shake. He told her 13 for a small and 18-20 for a large. She measures it and it comes out to 15. She tells the trainee that she is going to make the shake anyways because she already put three scoops in. Sure enough, she ended up not having enough to fill the cup so tells the trainee (who has been watching her the entire time) to just fill the rest of the cup up with whip cream and that "the customer" won't notice the difference anyways...
All of this happened right in front of me. Did she think that the glass ice cream fridge magically made it so I couldn't hear her or something? Sure enough, it was a cup that was like a 4th or 5th filled with whip cream. The worst part is that it was a bad server teaching a new trainee to be bad at their job.
The original guy did a great job with my pints though so I...
