I went to sonic because I was driving my dog around for the holiday I did arrive there at 9:30pm on 12/31/2022, I did see that it was busy so I went simple. I ordered a medium slush and that was all, while waiting I noticed I had a coupon for a free slush which luckily didn’t expire till 1/1/2023 and I was super excited since I’ve never used a coupon before at sonic I thought “oh when the car hop arrives I’ll give the coupon and a nice tip anyways”. I waited about 10 minutes when the screen said someone was arriving soon with my order and I waited another 7 minutes when it disappeared from screen, which confused me so I called to make sure my order was still there and I understandably waited as it was New Year’s Eve. The car hop finally arrived and upon giving the coupon he seemed very upset, he said “why didn’t you tell us you had a coupon?” I really didn’t know it was in my car and it was my first time using the coupon with sonic so I didn’t know it would be a huge deal which I explained it was my first time using a coupon with them. He sighed very irritatedly and explained how it’s a hassle to put in the system now that I added a coupon and he’d need to get his manager involved which he seemed like he really didn’t want to do and then after explaining he said “so how do you want to pay for this” well..with the coupon that’s about to expire tomorrow of course? So he went to get what I assumed was someone involved because the person he told inside in a blue hoodie looked directly at my car extremely irritated and turned back around towards their coworker making aggressive hand gestures as if I was the worst customer tonight ordering a slush and having a coupon. And me witnessing this from the window felt absolutely disrespectful, I was already put off by the car hop and to see the person inside is also having the same attitude at my small order just really made me upset. Eventually the worker did come back to collect the coupon but he did not return to tell me it was a valid coupon to still use with them or if I needed to pay which at that point I would’ve just used the tip and taken my change on the $50 I had planned to give fully to the car hop before this issue, so after waiting a while I did leave. I did not know a coupon could ruin a system and it’s coworkers to the point of irritation but it was very off putting and I felt really upset, I wanted to give a nice tip that night to someone I thought deserved it for being open so late since their morning people are usually nice but I just couldn’t reward disrespectful service. I usually like this location but I can’t support service workers like that and as a former service worker, I’d never give attitude like that to anyone and always tried to solve the issue positively even if it’s with my co worker or manager instead of seeing it...
Read moreWent to order a slush, the service was horrible. My daughter was in the driver seat and she placed the order only for the person that was taking the order not to get it correct. She than repeated the order for him to still get it wrong. She than repeated it a third time for him to get it qorng again. So than he decided to get the manager who couldn't hear us either. He says it was because I wasn't in yhe driver seat and the driver should be ordering. I explained she repeated our order thress times and he couldn't get it correct. So than I asked is it something wrong with the intercom he still couldn't hear me. I than asked if he could come outside to hear. He than walked outside, I asked him( the manager) is it something wrong with this intercom because my daughter repeated the order three times and he couldn't hear her to get it corrected. The M.O.D states oh well he's 15 and this is his first job so he doesn't know. I stated that's not what I asked you. I asked does this intercom work properly. He than got an attitude, and starting to be rude. So at this time I asked him who is the manager he said I am, I asked him who is over you. He stated Lillian, so I asked for her last name he wouldn't provide it. Oh and he wouldn't provide his name either. He than stated we're refusing you service so leave. They got me going all the way back to a year Sonic Drive-In what I know about Sonic says I am a long-time customer Sonic just got it going on that's all I can say and the staff is awesome matter of fact I was just there 15 minutes ago in Irving off of Shady Grove I was just getting a soda for my hard-working husband. If you're mad you understand we got to take care of the king of the castle. My experience I just got great service and also wonderful staff really kind and sweet spirit you just can't go wrong Sonic drive-thru special day happy hour drinks. Have you ever went to Sonic Tuesday special the burgers half off the time after 5 p.m. basically I'll see that I'm helping promote for Sonic so I'm really doing them a tremendous favor. Almost a long time customer don't mind voicing it out letting people know how good Sonic Drive-In or. Just another satisfied customer just trying to keep it real so may your day be blessed and also why don't you stop by at Sonic drive-in and get you a nice cold drink or slush since the weather is 90 degrees...
