Title: "A Nightmare at Whataburger: A True Culinary Catastrophe"
Rating: ★☆☆☆☆ (1 out of 5 stars)
Review:
I recently had the misfortune of visiting Whataburger, a renowned fast-food burger chain in Texas, and I must say it was an experience I would never wish upon my worst enemy. From the abysmal service to the agonizing wait times, this establishment managed to turn a simple meal into an excruciating ordeal.
Upon entering the restaurant, I was greeted by apathetic employees who seemed utterly disinterested in their jobs. Their lackluster attitudes set the tone for what was to come—a complete disregard for customer satisfaction. As I placed my order, the cashier seemed to be in a daze, struggling to comprehend even the simplest of requests. It was as if they had never heard the concept of "fast food."
Now, let's talk about the waiting game. Oh boy, where do I even begin? It felt like an eternity before my order was even acknowledged, let alone prepared. Despite being a "fast food" joint, Whataburger seemed to have an entirely different definition of the word "fast." Customers around me were growing increasingly impatient, their growling stomachs a testament to the inefficiency of this establishment.
When my order finally arrived, I was astounded by the sheer incompetence displayed by the kitchen staff. The burger resembled a sad, flattened excuse for sustenance, hastily slapped together without any care or attention to detail. The patty was overcooked, dry, and tasteless—a true insult to the art of burger making. The toppings were haphazardly thrown on, resulting in a messy, unappetizing concoction. Even the fries, a seemingly foolproof side dish, managed to disappoint with their limp and greasy texture.
To make matters worse, the staff's lack of training was glaringly evident as they struggled to handle even the simplest customer requests. I witnessed multiple instances of incorrect orders and mix-ups, causing further delays and frustration. It seemed like chaos reigned supreme in the kitchen, with no one taking responsibility for the mayhem they had created.
All in all, my experience at Whataburger was nothing short of a nightmare. The combination of abysmal service, agonizing wait times, and subpar food made for an unforgettable disaster. I cannot in good conscience recommend this establishment to anyone seeking a satisfying fast-food experience. Save yourself the trouble and choose any other burger joint in Texas—literally, any other place would be a better option. Whataburger, you have truly earned the title of the worst fast food chain...
Read moreHi, I had a problem at this restaurant and I wanted my money back and even to this day, this restaurant and whataburger hasn't given my money back. At the time, I ordered a "Honey Chicken Strip Barbecue sauce sandwich " meal with onion rings and a large Dr. Pepper.
When we pulled up to the window, the cashier (an African American female) dropped our onion rings on the counter, pick them back up and was touching all in them in the package and looked at us and asked "if we just wanted to still take it or do we wanted them remade?". I told her we would like for them to be remade. There was no way we were going to eat these onion rings that this woman was playing with and dropped on the counter!! So she told us to pulled up in the parking lot and they will bring our food out to us. We waited almost 20 minutes until I just had enough and told my partner to go back in line and tell them to cancel it and that we just want our money back. So we got back in line and the manager told us to just pull up in the second line to the side and they'll bring us our refund. The woman cashier came out and started acting drunk or on drugs or something and gotten on top of the railing of the sidewalk to the door of whataburger and was spinning and dancing?? And another cashier came out and whispered to us "he doesn't know what's going on with her??" and handed us our refund and the "freshly" made food and the old food. The "refund" was just $3 in cash, the food had sticky barbecue sauce fingerprints all over in and was all crumbled and the onion were all disheveled and out of the container in the bag. So I called back over the cashier and told them to please take all the food back, I just want all my money back. The manager said "no" and the cashier told me they were only refunding me for the onion rings. We came back the next day and spoke with another manager named La'bertha English at 8:40pm the next day and I filled out a form for my refund and still have not received it.
The restaurant is 875 The time was 12:48am The date 1/31/2021 Order number 568536 Attached below is the food I received in a dirty bag and the receipt.
I know Whataburger is ususlly not like this and is usually very organized and professional but this was very outrageous and such an horrible experience! I still have not...
Read moreTonight, we ordered dinner via curbside pickup since we were working on a project this evening and didn't have time to cook dinner ourselves. When we pulled up to curbside, we checked in with the app and it confirmed the food was ready and was going to be out soon. We waited for around 10-15 minutes and I had to go in. When I went in, I saw the manager running around but nobody else was came to the front desk so I waited while a few people stood around, a couple of minutes later the manager came up and when I informed him I was there for the curbside order, he said that they were just getting the drink and it would be just a couple of minutes. Someone with the nametag of "Ms. B" or "Mrs. B", brought our food in a very callous manner. I said that it was about time and she responded with "whatever". When we got home, we saw the fries were both burnt and cold and both sandwiches that were ordered didn't have cheese even though it was on the label. We went back to th e restaurant, told the manager about the food, he went back to cook it fresh, meanwhile "Ms. B" was standing around and made the comment "they haven't messed up on any orders other this one" with a sarcastic tone, loud enough for those of us that were standing in the lobby could hear it. Another minute or two, the manager returns with the fresh food and apologizes for everything. This time the order was correct.
A couple of weeks ago, we ordered delivery because we had a late returning flight (around 10:30pm) and had to be at work 7am the next morning. The order was delayed, we ended up calling and the staff said that the order wasn't printed out, they made the order but at that point nobody was available to deliver the food so we had to go to the store to pick it up, though we...
