My husband and I got there at 7:25. They close at 8. Waited about 5 minutes for service. The waitress walks up " dine in or take out?" We say dine in. The waitress replied "we close soon you get take out" rude but whatever. We were really hungry so no big deal. I went into the bathroom and my husband sat in a booth to read the menu. He said the lady was not in any way polite. She made him move to the chairs by the register. We picked chow fun, general chicken, and chow mein. Total was about 45. Our food was done within 10 minutes of our order. I was shocked at how fast they were. We walked out to our car and opened them to eat. The chow fun was so bland. They obviously forgot some sauces or seasonings. The general chicken was mushy on the outside and dry on the inside. You could tell it was microwaved (not that the cold center gave it away) the chow mein was actually good. I have nothing negative to say about that part. But the service was rude and disrespectful and two of the three items were not to restaurant standards. This is the first bad review I have ever made. So I hope that...
Read moreThey've really raised their prices. If you see a menu online that looks like it is theirs, they will say it is not theirs. The prices are wrong, too. The food is tasty and I will go for their lunch specials. We used to order their Mongolian Beef regularly because we love it, and add the extra dinner item special of egg roll, soup, and wonton for a few dollars but now they increased the pricing so much that we gave them up. I may go with friends for lunch but that is it. If you want Mongolian Beef, I will say that NO place in town has it as good as Bamboo Gardens. Yes, we tried them all and were disappointed, so if you are stuck on this item, then this is the only place to get it. Staff is attentive. For dessert, go next door and get a homemade ice cream from the little shop. Nice...
Read moreFirst off their website needs to update the pricing as the reasons we went there is because of how close it was to our hotel and how affordable the prices were. Very disingenuous. Also I was very surprised by the high rating for this restaurant. This is not authentic Chinese food even though there were Chinese speaking servers and I imagine owners. Maybe I'm spoiled cuz I grew up in San Francisco which has the best Chinese food I've ever had. But there were 3 out of the 4 dishes we ordered for takeout that didn't taste like the traditional dishes. The hot n sour soup was not great, the general tsaos was not nearly like it should've been prepared, and the short ribs were too sweet. Overall disappointed by the high rating, the food...
