The Mix Nutrition — Restaurant in Carson City

My husband and I had finished shopping at walmart and decided to stop in. We took a look at the menu and decided what we wanted. After we placed our orders the woman behind the counter quickly made a phone call to someone else asking how to make the bowl my husband ordered and the shake I ordered. As she was making them another customer came in and ordered a drink to which the woman behind the counter had to call the person again and ask how to make it. After she made the drink for the customer she then asked the customer how much the drink cost (the customer was honest when I'm sure some would not have been). The customer paid and left and my husband and I patiently waited for our order. She brought the bowl to the counter and asked my husband to pick his toppings he got peanut butter and chocolate chips, she only put 4 so he asked for more. When I got my shake we left quickly as we had groceries in the vehicle. I ordered the salted caramel cone shake and after the first drink realized it tasted nothing like caramel but instead was banana (I hate banana), it was also not thick at all. My husband got a chunky monkey bowl and he too said his tasted like it had banana in it. It was basically chocolately syrup in a bowl. Obsessed is a pretty mild word to use for this place, I honestly don’t think I’ve gone a day without it since they opened (I have problems I know, that’s besides the point) everything here is delicious, the protein donuts on Wednesday’s, every shake, tea and mug cake I’ve tried has been amazing. The people! THE PEOPLE! Customer service is where it’s AT! The Mix has the most friendly environment, kind, big hearted people here. I’ve gone to other places around here and have definitely not been treated with the kindness I found with these people. The second you walk in the door you feel like family. They are so knowledgeable about the products they offer and passionate about them too. The inside is so cute already I cannot wait to see what it looks like done. This place is a great healthy alternative to us every day Starbucks/Dutch bros feens. They even have protein iced (or hot) coffee for my morning visits and I don’t leave feeling like I didn’t get my coffee fix (just minus the 43g of sugar) I was drinking redbull after redbull and their lifted tea has broke me of that awful habit as well. All I have to say is wow, the place looks awesome. You can tell the owners (summer and jade) took time on the build out to make it look so amazing. Definitely a different look than what Carson city is use to but needed it for sure. The owners and so nice and so knowledgeable when it comes to what they serve and why they serve it in the way they do. Every question I had that had an answer for. I had one of the specialty teas and let me tell you, it was sooooo great I had to tell my friends at work because it was so delicious! I made it a combo meaning I got a specialty shake with my energy tea and the shake was made perfect. It was so thick and creamy and the taste was so great it did not taste like a protein shake at all. Such an awesome experience and I will be a forever customer to them.
