We have lived in Carson City for a long time and there is a Mexican restaurant on East Winnie Lane in a shopping center where Goodwill used to be, that we always go to. It was a hole in the wall but has quadrupled in size and is now unbelievably crowded. And for good reason, their food is delicious. But I saw this new restaurant when driving through town the other day and so we thought we would give it a try. Let me tell you, it is amazing. The chips and bean dip were the hands down best in town. I had pescado rellenos con camerones which is a fish fillet stuffed with shrimp and cheese. And it was to die for. My husband had a shrimp quesadilla and he said it was very good. It certainly was chock full of cheese and shrimp. The service was great and prices were reasonable. If you try this place you will come back! It doesn't seem like any restaurant that opens in that location lasts very long. I don't know if it's because it's buried underground and no one sees it, or what. But please give it a try. Wow. It may be our new favorite Mexican food...

Our waitress was friendly and happy. I believe English is her second language, but she was able to answer questions about the food and take orders in English. There is a Mexican menu and an English menu. Chips, salsa 🍅 and beans dip 🫘 were brought to our table right away. There were multiple sauces on the table, including hot sauce and ketchup. I ate half and took the other half to go. I might eat it for dinner. I would order it again. My husband ordered a large shrimp 🦐 cocktail which came with crackers and lime 🍋, he...
Read moreThe first thing that struck me was the blaring horn music played in this little cellar of a room on terrible TV speakers. Just totally off-putting.
Their $8 margs are definitely from an over-sweet premade mix. I almost choked on a bone from my chicken enchiladas, then started feeling for them as I ate, pulled out maybe 8 pieces throughout the meal. Not a good experience at all. The shrimp ceviche was fine, and my burrito was big, at least, but bland and uninspired.
There's not a lot of flavor to anything and none of it tasted particularly fresh. And at around $20 for a plate, I can find better...
