Chicken Salad Chick — Restaurant in Cartersville

This is a horrible chicken salad chick. I have been here three times. The first time was just OK the second and third time they left things off of my order. After the second time that they left things off of my order., They said they would comp me a meal for the air. They did not give me anything but their word. I went into the restaurant requesting the comp as I was supposed to do as said by the manager. The people I spoke to questioned me as if I was a criminal trying to steal a meal. After much conversation and grunting by the person, I was speaking to, she finally consented to give me the meal that I was promised. That made me feel like never going into the business again. Weeks later I gave the chicken salad, chick, a second chance. The same thing occurred. I picked up my order and they left items off of my order. More than leaving items off my order, the quality of the food was horrible. Furthermore, the chaos of the cash register was unreal. You had one girl trying to work the register, one girl that was negatively chesting her the entire time and speaking to her like she was a dog, and another girl who was struggling to help while dealing with the tongue lashing, the other girl was giving. There was nothing professional about what I experienced at the cash register.The chicken salad did not taste correctly, and my croissant was burnt. I contacted the corporate office and they funneled me to the local chicken salad chick. I really did not want to speak to the local chicken salad chick. If they can’t get my order correct two out of three times and make me feel like a second class citizen, They do not need not my business and show no ability for correctness or efficiency. Once I talk to the local chicken salad, chick, I requested that my card be credited. All they were willing to offer me was a free meal being sent by mail. Weeks later after the incident, I have not received any kind of free meal in the mail. Part of this is OK because even with the free meal offering, I was going to give it to some other person. I can’t stop coming here to eat❤️let me start off by giving a shout out to one of the most sweetest employees Macie. As we all know little boys are hard to keep centered and focused and he doesn’t do well sitting down and eating because he’s always so “busy”😂 macie allows my son to try two samples to see which one he liked and it was a shocker my son actually liked it. Every kid is a chicken nugget and French fry lover but Macie grabbed the samples and he absolutely loved it. As I was putting in my order Macie had told me she wanted to go to school to be a teacher for children with special needs. As we started talking she told my son “if you eat all your food I’ll get you a big ballon with some stickers” my son’s face has never lit up so big. When we proceeded to sit down and eat our food she chanted him on and told him you can do it. Eat your food and I’ll come back around and see how you’re doing. She had no idea my husband and I have been fighting for months to get him to sit down and try new foods. Her calm approach and patients got him to eat. When he ate all of his food he was so happy she came around with stickers and a big ballon. It may not seem like a lot but she definitely helped my son so much. He gets super over stimulated and does not like to try new things and she took it upon herself to help me. She is so sweet and kind hearted. I just know she’s going to make a huge impact when she becomes a teacher for special need students. She works so well with children. I will definitely be coming back. My family wanted to have chicken salad chick for Easter this year. This would be the first time that we order food out for a holiday rather than making it ourselves. I called last Saturday to discuss options with an employee who was very helpful. We wanted the mini croissant platter with the croissants and chicken salad separate as we would be eating it the next day and didn't want it soggy. It was pretty much the same price to do the 36 mini croissants for $11.XX and 3 1lb. containers of chicken salad as it would be the 36 mini croissant platter. Perfect!

Mom called up on Monday to place the order ahead of time. We have both worked retail and food service so we know how hectic holidays can be. We were told we could not place an order ahead of time unless it was catering and was told the food would be there Saturday. That's fine. We understand that.

Mom gets there this morning to place the order. She was told in order to have the 36 croissants that she would need to have them on a plastic platter which was $7 more. She told all 4 employees, including the manager, that we both called up on separate days and confirmed the amounts. They were adamant a tray was needed and they could not just be placed in a bag.

The guy putting together the order in the back put the croissants in gallon bags and they were brought to her after she was told they couldn't do that. Mom brought it to their attention, and instead of fixing the order to be for just the croissants they took them out of the gallon bags and dumped them on the tray.
