Cicis Pizza — Restaurant in Cartersville

I was super excited to finally try this place again. I love salad bars and a variety of pizza's. Been year's since we have been back. Was a okay greeting, used a digital app coupon for buy one adult @ 8.99 - but drink was not included? My sister ask to order a steak and cheese pizza. Said they didn't carry it anymore. And it was a long while ago, since they did. The place, definitely needs some TLC.

We were kinda disappointed with the salad bar, iceberg lettuce was pulled apart in big pieces, some light brown wilted pieces! They expect us to cut it up with plastic utensils? The tomatoes looked soggy and not freshly cut. Most things looked like they have been in the container's for day's and not freshened up. Pizza and dessert choices all looked the same (no name marker's and dried out? And nothing I like was out? I was waiting to ask for a very popular pizza- the supreme, but, was told it will be a few minutes before she could even help me and another woman? 2 people only working, mgr, and food prep. I'm sure this is possibly a reason for lack of getting my pizza choice order, sooner. FINALLY order a supreme! And a spinach alfredo just happened to come out of oven. Fresh, hot and good! I guess the supreme cooked pretty fast, after i ordered it, but was not told it was ready? My sister went to see what was finally placed down fresh. She said the brownie was not replaced. But, had fresh cheesy bread. And my supreme pizza! I should have taken photos, but didn't. If we would have paid 8.99 each. And the drink's must be 2 bucks each, I would have said it's not worth it, and with that questionable salad bar... "dessert BAR" had 2 items? Dried out brownie pieces, and cinnamon roll? And I think their seasonal pumpkin pie rolls? Fresh, but didn't taste any pumpkin flavor?

Probably be a long while, before I go back! I don't want to see any business have poor reviews or even hurt a business. But, some caring about your workplace and getting the best product out, would boost your...

If I could give no stars I would. I came in today July 3rd, 2022 and left mortified. To begin with the greeting was fine, paid and got my plate. It all began with one blonde worker who was making the pizzas with her bare hands. She was sprinkling cheese and toppings on the pizza with no gloves. I asked the cashier if there staff is not required to wear gloves? His response “ they wash their hands often”. I walked away. Shortly after I seen the same man go tell the blonde girl what I had said which stirred up drama and dirty looks from behind the buffet. Secondly I was video tapped by the same staff member as I’m sitting with my 2 younger sisters and my infant son. I walked up to the boy and asked if he had recorded me? His response was no. I questioned why his phone was pointed directly at me for a few minutes. He denied my accusation. Thirdly the man who puts the actual pizzas in the oven wiped his nose with his shirt and proceeded to put the pizzas in the oven. The staff is absolutely disgusting. No hygiene is implemented in their building. The staff uses their phone and touches our food without even sanitizing. The food was OK. The food was the least of the problems but knowing my pizza was handled by someone who hasn’t washed their hands potentially from the time they clocked in at work is worrisome. I immediately drank an airborne vitamin C as soon as I got home to prevent any sickness I may have gotten. I’m ashamed to even have eaten the 2 slices I had before I realized what was going on. Please go elsewhere unless you enjoy filth. Then by all means this is the place for u. I will not recommend even to a homeless person. Too much risk for sickness or food poisoning, cross contamination, E.Coli....

---UPDATE-UPDATE-UPDATE--- I visited on March 28th and it was GREAT! 1000Xs better than my first experience. The employees were very friendly and attentive! Got welcomed and thanked for coming! The bar was fully stocked and all the pizzas looked great. I had a personal order and unfortunately it took them well over 20 minutes to get my order out to my table. I think they forgot and only made them after I complained at the 20 minute mark. However, they were extremely apologetic. The manager (James?) apologized to me twice. Heck, they even gave me a box to take my slices home since I'd waited so long. Their sauces were definitely up to standard this time around! None of that watered down nonsense. Much better than my first visit which you can read below. Hopefully this latest visit is their new normal!

This is the only Cici's I've been to where you have to clean up after yourself. As if that wasn't bad enough, their pizza and service sucked. Their slices were HORRIBLY cut and when I asked them to help me out- I got looked at like I was crazy. Excuse me for expecting to be able to take apart the pizzas y'all just put on the bar. Also, some slices were massive while others were tiny slivers. I didn't get the "Welcome to Cici's!" as I walked in or the "Bye, thank you!" when I walked out. I've been to plenty of Cici's and this was by far the worse experience I've had. Additionally, the "alfredo" sauce was essentially white water. It was so runny and disappointing.
