Smoothie King — Restaurant in Cartersville

NO RESPECT! Had my first Gen Z customer service encounter. Walked up to the counter and a young male employee started doing stuff on the screen but never once acknowledged that my husband and I were there. We stood there for almost ten minutes while he had his back against the wall just staring, never acknowledging us, so I assumed we were waiting on another employee to make smoothies. Finally, my husband goes, “Can we order?” and he says, “Yeah.”

After he made our smoothies, he placed them down and never said a name or anything. Not once acknowledged us. I asked the lady, “Is that our smoothies?” and she said, “Yeah.” I literally said, “Does he not talk?” Hahaha. Wow. Horrible customer service.

It is really troubling how some Gen Z’s are impacting the quality of customer service. The fact that an employee can stand there for ten minutes without even acknowledging you yet act like you are the one in the wrong is insane. If it’s not the owner or the guy I usually see (wears glasses, super nice) it seems there’s a 50/50 chance my smoothies are correct when mobile ordering. I order vegan smoothies unless I’m getting one for my kid, and if there are dates in the ingredients then alway say “no dates, sub strawberries”. I’ve gotten a vegan mixed berry where the employee didn’t even put blueberries, I’ve had the “sub strawberries” completely looked over. Well today, I had that issue. My vegan espresso no dates sub strawberries in fact had no strawberries. I had it remade only for it to now not have any espresso. I just took the drink and left as I was now running late. Yes, it’s still a good smoothie but still lacking the whole reason for ordering which is the espresso. I wish mobile orders were looked over thoroughly. I really like the smoothies when made correctly, I just never know when...
