Fair Acres Family YMCA — Local services in Carthage

I'm sad to have to write this review because I have been coming to the YMCA literally since I was a little girl. Unfortunately, it has changed. My son was in the KIM afterschool program with the Y and one of their employees gave me the wrong info causing my son to not get picked up from school. It is always difficult to get in touch with someone there but I asked for a call back by the end of the night it happened. I was told I would get one and didn't get it until the next day when I was working. At this point I'm fed up with it, made a posting and asked if anyone knew of any alternative options. Then the Y director Jonathan started Facebook messaging me. I'm just going to post the screenshots. They are incredibly unorganized which led to them calling the wrong number to get into contact with me. And basically said everything was my fault. We have literally spoken multiple times on my new phone number this year but they were calling my old phone number. The employee did not give me the registration paperwork even though I specifically asked if I needed to sign new paperwork. Therapy isn't available so many times when my mom tries to go. Rude person at welcome desk said its posted on FB closed for different things. Nothing on FB and she doesn't know how to use FB. Her doctor sends her there for her back n after driving the 30 min there and back its not worth it to find close or closing soon. Signs around have different times open/closed. Others members have complained about this but only getting worse. My kids stopped going cuz never could use the gym for shooting around. Love the pool and the swim family there. The front desk lady dropped their rating. I just told her about swimming the events of the day and what not. She almost made my daughter miss her event. It was like the Spanish inquisition she tried to put me through and then made us wait just to sign in. I understand procedure and protocol - but when a steady stream of people came in & nothing was asked of them or they weren't made to stop.
