Chicken strips: Excellent Chicken Fried Chicken: Very Good White Gravy: Best I've had. Mashed Potatoes: Not great Mac and Cheese: A zero. Out of a box? Waitress: 7/10 Waitress/Cashier: 0/10

My wife and daughter ate here tonight and do not recommend it. Mac and Cheese came out in a hot bowl. Well, that's a good sign, right? Mac and cheese was probably just above room temperature. Microwaved, and the best part you'll read later in the review. Our waitress was very good until it was time for the bill. In the second picture I uploaded you will see what you get with the meals we chose. My wife ordered the Open Faced Roast Beef with mac and cheese. Water. My daughter ordered Chicken Fried Chicken with Onion Rings. Water. I ordered the Chicken Tender Platter with french fries and mac and cheese. Coke.

My daughter never received her onion rings and we forgot until we were getting ready to leave. No big deal. I'll just have them subtract off the bill a little bit to offset for the onion rings. No worries. So we get the bill and there are two $3.99 charges on the bill for mac and cheese. Huh? So I go to pay and let the cashier know about the extra charges and the onion rings. She starts off with the mac and cheese stating that we ordered extra sides. I show her the menu that shows I get two sides and my wife gets one with her mashed potatoes and gravy. After that she changes her story and says that those are an upcharge(by the way, a $3.99 upcharge???). I saw nothing of an upcharge when looking at the menu. So she grabs it and shows me at the bottom that Mushrooms, Okra or Mac n Cheese are $3.99. We were ready to get out of there so I said whatever and ate(didn't eat) the $8 mac and cheese. Next, the onion rings. She said that would be the same scenario so since they were forgotten there wouldn't be a charge. Huh? She gets a side with her meal. I wouldn't let this one go. So she called our waitress over there and agreed that was a screwup and offered to cook us more. We just wanted out of there and I wanted the amount for the onion rings deducted off my meal. They ended up deducting the onion rings. Our final bill was $48. I added a $10 tip.

This menu says all sides are the same price at $3.99 if ordering a la carte. Check out the sides menu and see if you can come up with $3.99 for (room temp)Mac and Cheese as a side that's included in a dinner meal. Going by their rules, there is no price for a side that is a la carte that isn't Mushrooms, Okra or Mac n Cheese. So, except for those three sides, are the other sides free? To me it looks like all sides a la carte are $3.99. If this is the case, the waitress and cashier are lying about the price of these three items and there is no upcharge. If those sides were different in price, why doesn't the sides menu read "......Cottage Cheese or Mashed Potatoes and Gravy 2.49"? I'm just making up the 2.49. There is no price on the menu for "normal" sides. Also if you want to stick with this incorrect menu, you should probably inform the customers that those three items are an upcharge before they order.

Nice waitress. Some good food, some not. First time guests. Last...

The food is great. I have eaten here twice this week and this is my review of both visits. I had lunch, I was surprised on this visit that they don't serve breakfast all day. I had the chili cheese burger, and onion rings. The burger is AWESOME, but the onrings where bland and needed a bit longer in the fryer. I had coffee and they only refilled it when they brought my food. The cups are tiny and they don't refill them. CHELSEA DROPPED OFF MY FOOD AND ABANDONED ME. The girls all stood at the window and talked about there kids and counted tips. One of them is pregnant and expecting a girl. Her step son wants a boy and she can't get him to understand that she isn't able to control that. Also she can't understand that customers who pay for drinks want to drink with there meal. 2) Today I had the meatlovers omelet with hashbrowns and a biscuit and gravy. The Omelet was average, it needed more cheese. The hashbrowns I could not eat. They where oily and under cooked. THE BISCUITS AND GRAVY WHERE AWESOME. But Destiny could not be bothered to refill my Coffee either. They where busy but Today I sat at the counter and one of the girls came to the coffee pot I asked for a refill. She said Sure thing grabbed the pot and refilled the entire side of the restaurant I was on. Then poured two cups for new diners. Then threw out the rest and started two new pots. I tried to flag them down but to no avail. That was probably not intentional but is still inexcusable.

Edit the service has gotten much better since original review. Thanks for working...

Terrible food, the worst i have EVER HAD AND EVER EVEN SEEN. We ordered our grandchildren a footlong and corn dogs. Our oldest wanted a footlong but They brought just a hot dog , NO SIDES NO DRINK $10.00 . Since he wanted a footlong they ordered him 2 regular hotdogs, so they charged us $20.00 for 2 hotdogs no sides or drinks just ridiculous. We also ordered a child's corn dog and tatter Totts. How can you mess that up ?? it was over cooked and like the turkey off of Christmas vaca. !!!! My chilidog was so mushy I couldn't eat it. My husbands hamburger was like a boiled frozen HB patty. $65.00 for food we couldn't even eat. I have never been so appalled in all of my life. shame shame in the owners for charging that much.and for serving cheap nasty food we couldn't even eat. Dog food would have been better. NO FOR REAL!!!!!!!! I was expecting a babes. I got...

Stopped in with another couple. We stood on the doorway unacknowledged for quite some time, we decided to leave and as we were departing an employee yelled at us that there were 2 empty table at the back. So we figured we would stay since we were already there. The table (and honestly the restaurant) was dirty and missing condiments and salt and pepper, which we were in our own to find. The food was so-so. If you are a vegetarian or the like, good luck. Limited options, and even then, there were still bits of meat in my food. My friend's bacon was burnt, for you meat eaters out there. The service was very slow, both cooking and ordering. Also, don't expect ice in your ice water. The building itself is very interesting, but not worth the stop. Maybe the shiny building attracts people, but only once would be my guess.

Our server was pleasant and efficient, the best part of our visit. The hashbrowns were a highlight - nice and crispy. They served diet Dr. Pepper, which is always a fav for me and rare at restaurants (and the server even gave me a refill in a to-go cup, which was very sweet of her to do). The rest of the food was decent/average diner food (the hollandaise sauce was too coagulated and the flavor was "off", however). The vintage decor/look was a treat, but had a very worn out appearrance (e.g. you could feel the springs in the lumpy booth seats). The temperature was a bit too chilly for my comfort, and there was something strange with the overall odor...almost a damp antiseptic smell. I wouldn't return, but I didn't leave hungry either...it was just okay.
