On my first visit, there was a female bartender with long, dark-colored hair. She was super friendly and helpful in finding a drink that I would like. She found a sour mango/tropical smoothie. It was delicious! If you don’t like beer, give the sour smoothie by EvilTwin a try. The hot dogs are huge! I could only eat half of it. My husband and I had a great time.

Today was my second visit, and decided to introduce a friend to this great place. There was a nice, gentleman bartending. This time around we ordered wings, Bottledog pizza, and chicken momos. Oh my! The chicken wings were to die for. They were juicy, crispy, spicy - perfectly cooked. How many times have you gotten wings at a bar, and they were soft or overcooked? Not here! I ordered the naked ones, and they are the best chicken wings I have had in a long time. The Bottle dog pizza — wow! That Montreal meat is delicious and there is something about that cheese.

A friend and I had different kind of sours. The bartender was friendly and helpful. My friend will definitely be back, and I, of course, will be too.

Come with an empty stomach, and you will leave...

Bottle Dogs REMOVES NEGATIVE REVIEWS on Facebook which explains the significant difference in FB reviews and those that Bottledog cannot remove!

Below is my family’s HONEST review:

We ordered the Rustica Italian Pizza and Jumbo Bavarian Pretzel. The jumbo pretzel was decent but tasted no different than a frozen Super Pretzel you can buy from your local grocery store! The Rustica Italian Pizza (all pizzas are said to be 'flat bread') was the worst pizza our family has ever tasted! Ours pizza was completely covered in thick cheese! Now there is 'extra cheese' which we did not order, but every pizza we saw brought out was covered in cheese like ours! It was so thick, it ran over the sides of the entire pizza crust and was so thick, it was like chewing 3 pieces of Bubble Yum at one time! Making matters worse, HONESTLY, the pizza crust tasted no different than a frozen pizza that you can purchase at any local supermarket and was a horrible crust!

Would not suggest...

We had an awesome time. This was an impulse first time visit. We could not have been more impressed. The restaurant was clean. The food was hot and fresh. It was not busy and we appreciated that. The bartender was nice and friendly. The cook came out to check on us and see if we were happy. She nailed it!!! I could have hugged her (stupid social distancing.) I ordered the Québéois Poutine. It was AWESOME!!! The bacon cheese burger had nice crispy bacon not the bacon that was cooked in the morning and was stale. My one recommendation is for the hotdog. The bun was perfect for an adult. Our 8 year old son was eating it and the bun was too big to get into his mouth. NOT a deal breaker! I would totally return and so should too. I am not a big beer drinker and they have plenty available to suit your taste. They also serve Mexican Coke in glass bottles with real sugar not High Fructose Corn Syrup. Hell, you can bring your dog! How could you not...

I’m super picky about my poutine. I’m a French Canadian in the South and I’ve tried them all. You would think that it would be easy to whip up 3 ingredients to make the perfect poutine... but it’s not. The fries have to be crispy, the cheese curds have to be sharp and the gravy needs to be dark but not too salty. Bottle Dog hits it out of the park. This is not my first time having their poutine and they have drastically improved their recipe. I would highly recommend the Castor (The Beaver) because the original (simple) is always the best. Their smoked meat is on the salty side so I would consider that before choosing the poutine with it as a topic. I’m not a fan of this one. Also, please please please support your local businesses during this time. We had a very safe take out experience here as our 6th wedding anniversary dinner.

Great spot to grab a bite n brew in Cary! They offer $2 off 16oz pours (which is usually the price doff between their 16 & 10oz pours) and on Mondays. But, the big draw for me was their poutine! They offer four variations, but the way to go is the Québécois version! The montreal meat and pickles really add some nice flavor contrasts and their gravy/cheese curds are on point! They offer a decent draught selection, but was surprised there weren’t more local Cary/Raleigh brews represented? The Staff is super nice and attentive, as well. Definitely stop in as they have hot dogs, pizza, and burgers on top of poutines.

Update: knocking two stars off for how consistently bad the food can be here. When it’s good, it’s really good. But they must change the oil once a month and probably never, ever filter it at the end of the night? Fried food is always overcooked and just overall not good. Portion sizes are routinely inconsistent, but dang the dogs are good. Came here on the rec of an old Reddit thread for poutine, stayed for the dogs. The hotdog and bun were delicious and you could sub the side for poutine which was the perfect post-drinking meal to start the day. Will definitely be back to try some of the other menu items.
