The location held a special place in our hearts, as my husband and I had lived nearby when we first moved in together, and we had spent countless memorable moments in downtown Cary.

Walking into Chatham Station, we were immediately captivated by its bright and airy ambiance. Even though it was a hot day, the air conditioning worked perfectly, ensuring that our guests were comfortable throughout the event. With a guest list of 130, the space accommodated our party comfortably, providing ample room for our celebration.

Working with Todd, the owner, and his team was an absolute pleasure. Todd's exceptional communication skills made the planning process a breeze. He went above and beyond by providing detailed information for us and our guests on parking, train schedules, and vendor recommendations. What truly impressed us was his proactive approach, as he informed us about an annual festival scheduled for the same weekend and had a well-thought-out plan in place to ensure that both events ran smoothly without any clashes. This level of professionalism and foresight is commendable.

Todd's flexibility and understanding were greatly appreciated, as he allowed us to drop off supplies the day before the event when there wasn't another scheduled function. This small gesture relieved a significant amount of stress on the day of the wedding and demonstrated his commitment to making our day as smooth as possible.

The venue itself served as the perfect blank canvas that we were able to transform into our own personalized masterpiece. We were pleasantly surprised by the inclusions in the rental package, such as tables, chairs, a bar, backdrop, and a lounge set, which simplified the planning process and reduced our rental costs.

The venue itself is absolutely beautiful and was everything we wanted aesthetically for our wedding. It truly was the perfect setting — elegant, charming, and exactly the look we envisioned. If this review were based on appearance alone, it would easily be five stars.

Unfortunately, our overall experience was tainted by several serious issues. The venue staff were consistently rude to my family on the day of the wedding — snapping at them multiple times and even outright ignoring my sister when she tried to ask a question. It created a stressful and uncomfortable environment during what should have been a joyful celebration.

There were also major communication issues. When we originally toured the venue, we were told the parking lot would be blocked off for our event. At some point during the planning process, that policy changed due to new ownership — which would have been totally understandable had anyone told us. But no one ever communicated the change. When I brought it up during our walkthrough, I was told, “That’s never been a thing,” which felt incredibly dismissive and made me feel like I was being gaslighted. It was upsetting and unprofessional.

Additionally, the staff began cleaning before our event had even ended. We had paid for an extra hour after the reception specifically for cleanup, but instead, they started tearing down early and told my family to leave before they’d even finished gathering our items. It felt rushed and disrespectful.

Lastly, the cleanliness of the venue was shocking. While I expected my dress to get dirty throughout the day, especially outdoors, I was not expecting it to turn black within three minutes of walking inside from the bridal room to the main space. The floors were absolutely filthy, and it was heartbreaking to see the bottom of my white dress in that condition so early in the day.

My husband and I recently had our wedding reception at Chatham Station in Cary, North Carolina, following our Catholic ceremony at our church—and we couldn’t be happier with our experience. From start to finish, the entire process was smooth, stress-free, and truly enjoyable.

From the moment we signed our contract, communication was excellent. Jon, the venue owner, was incredibly responsive and accommodating—always easy to reach by phone, text, or email. He made us feel confident and supported from day one.

We were also assigned a dedicated venue manager, Isabel (who goes by Bella), and she was an absolute pleasure to work with. I met with her in person twice—once to walk through the venue and once to show the space to our bridal party. She was always quick to answer emails, flexible with scheduling, and helped ensure every detail was in place.

Chatham Station itself is a stunning space with so many customizable options. The venue provides helpful software where you can create a personalized floor plan—including table and chair arrangements and activity zones. The indoor area is spacious, beautifully lit, and air-conditioned, with a perfect dance floor that our guests absolutely loved. There are two lounge areas we used for the bridal party and groomsmen, along with two full, private restrooms. The outdoor patio—complete with string lights—was magical in the evening and offered the flexibility of open or closed garage doors depending on the weather.

During the event, the on-site coordinator, Melody (or Melanie), was fantastic. She was professional, approachable, and blended in perfectly with our guests—dressed elegantly and ready to help with anything we needed.
