As the stereotypical avocado toast eating, scruffy beard wearing, IPA drinking millennial, I never thought I would fall in love with a brewery in the suburbs (oh the horror) and especially one in Cary, but Bond Brothers has firmly lodged itself at the top of my friend group's go to places for a night out.
They have plenty of space, both inside and out, and their beer lineup is solid. A variety of food trucks are stationed on their driveway so you can get some food on site, and there are plenty of options in close proximity to the brewery. The patio is a great place to spend the evening on temperate spring and fall nights, and the spacious interior seating has room for everyone during the sticky NC summer days.
Come here if you love IPAs, they usually have 3 or 4 different ones on tap, or sours, which they have been experimenting with lately. I find their other styles a bit too sweet for my tastes, but that is a personal preference and you may think differently. They usually have one or two "miscellaneous" taps as well, currently featuring a Trappist style ale with "hundreds of pounds of berries" infused in, which has been really refreshing in the July heat.
A couple of things to note- this place is dog friendly, and there are dogs everywhere. When the weather is nice they are usually outside but on cold or rainy days things can get a little doggy inside the brewery. Also, it is in Cary, so there is a pretty big family contingent and kids will be playing with each other and running around, especially on weekend nights, but this usually clears out by 8 or 9 at night, and things settle down and get a little quieter after that.
All in all, an absolute gem in the Raleigh beer scene, up there with Crank Arm and Double Barley for best...
Read moreI've enjoyed drinks here twice now and have been telling all who will listen: Bond Brothers Brewery is making some good brews! Last week theu were offering about 10 brews touching on saison, brown, porter, ipa, blonde, and sour. Really a wide assortment with very distinct ingredients in each. To name a few- citrus in an ipa, coconut caramel porter, raspberry sour, and ordinary brown which my friend said is ordinarily delicious. The citrus ipa was a big hit with my buddies and the raspberry sour was like drinking a raspberry straight. On my first time there I hade a gose that was the proper amount of tartness for my liking. None of that briny taste some goses sometimes have. Non-alcoholic drinks can be ordered in the form of Brood Soda, carbonated greatness, made in Durham NC. There were three delicious sounding sodas with real ingredients and I tried the Devil, which was ginger. Oh you must love real ginger ale! Some snacks are on offer as well. I don't recall what as I haven't gotten any but definitely nuts and some kind of pub mix. A food truck comes at 4p, maybe every day, but certainly Fri through Sun.
The place is spacious with a clean garage feel. Inside did get loud with voices on top of their music, despite the sound absorbers mounted on the ceiling. Dogs are welcome inside and out on the patio. Some games are available for playing too including cornhole. The patio has plenty of seating with umbrellas and at times a band will come play on one part of it.
I look forward to going back and exploring more of the menu and what future goodies this new brewery will have to offer....
Read moreI'm gonna start off by saying this place has the best beers in NC by far. They always got something new and amazing. Staff is also great. Been coming here constantly every other week for the past years but this past weekend I think it was my last. They are dog friendly inside and outside, which I have no problem with, never been a fan of the idea but i have had no issues so it was no big deal but this past weekend I was sitting at the bar with my wife and the gentleman next to me had his dog on a leash, again no big deal. But next this man proceeded to pick up his dog and place him on his lap. Tail and back of the dog all over the far and dogs face literally 3 inches from my face. If I would have made a sudden turn I would have kissed the dog. I waited. Bartenders walk passed us for about 5 mins and said nothing. I told the guy hey man I think it's not only alittle unsanitary specially cuz I didn't want no dog hair on to fly in my beer but also alittle inconsiderate to have dog breath right next to my face. He told me I could move if I didn't like it. I then paid my tab and left. Place is great I respect it to much to make a scene but the dog thing has just got out of hand for my liking. Won't be coming back. Again the best beer in NC but doesn't pair too well with dog breath...
