SideBar — Restaurant in Cary

I’m all for supporting local businesses, but the service here was shocking and not in a good way. We had a group of 12… and saw a number of tables available. Easily would accommodate our group, even if we sat separately. And I kept being told they couldn’t help a 12 top by one of the managers/supervisors.

I tried to ask why we were being turned away… when I could physically see multiple tables available. Not really sure what the issue was nor was I given any reason on why they could assist us? They were rude and annoyed that I was even asking…

Crazy to think of so many small businesses around that are currently struggling for business… then you have businesses like this that are turning away business for no valid or rational reason.

Side Bar!!! Where do I start? Well, with amazing! My friend and I upon walking in until we left we were welcomed and felt so comfortable. The atmosphere was very chilled and relaxed. We felt instantly cool upon walking in with the lights low, wrap around bar, and tables with high back chairs. The staff showed us the menu and we both got old fashions. They were smooth, but strong and so good. I had just one, but I definitely wanted another one--so that just means I have to come back! Not from Cary. Was at a wedding a couple units over and while waiting for my ride I stopped by (I drinky a lot). Got an IPA and house whiskey. Sat on the comfy couches by the host stand and chatted with the employee manning/womaning the customers coming in. I grew up in the restaurant biz... Had a 'real' convo about working here. He/she was positive af. It wasn't full time for him/her and I genuinely appreciated how much they appreciated the place as a part time employee who worked from home during the day.. and appeared to have an a good day gig.
