Bruegger's Bagels — Restaurant in Cary

I have for over ten years loved this bagel shop, friendly staff (my grandson's high school friends have worked here), good bagel sandwiches, fresh well made bagels for brunch at home, etc. Today, Saturday, I was shocked when both employees were rude. It was an hour before closing time and all the remaining bagels had been dumped into a couple of bins, to the extent that the young green-haired boy at the bagel counter could not tell me which kind was where. When I was not sure that he had heard me and repeated the rest of my order, he said loudly and with apparent irritation, "IHEARD YOU!" It seemed that both employees were very anxious to close up and get out and that customers in the last hour were a bother. After so many years of good service, this was very disappointing. I grew up in a family business and would NEVER go in to expect service in the last few minutes of the store's being open as I understand how much there is to do to get ready to close. But this was a full hour before closing. If I had not really needed the bagels for company the next morning, I would have sadly left...

great service. my husband, daughter and i go here once a week for breakfast on saturday mornings. it has become a welcome tradition to start our saturdays off together. we have been to other locations but this is the only one that we've found locally that puts roasted peppers and onions on their western bagel sandwiches which to us makes this sandwich complete. at the other locations they have mentioned you can order it (it just is not a standard). today we went for our normal visit and after we started to eat our toddler accidentally knocked over her full orange juice which went all over the floor. i cleaned it up (since we made the mess) but walked up to the counter to let them know that it was sticky so they might want to mop it up. which they did immediately. they also brought us over a brand new orange juice at no charge. we've always been impressed by the staff, items, comfortable environment, local art work, and of course cleanliness (including ladies bathroom). thank you for...

Wish I could give zero stars because I received zero food this morning. I waited at the counter for a few minutes while one employee prepared an order for the lady who ordered when I walked up, another employee walked around behind the counter, and a third emoyee stood behind the register. I was the only person at the counter other than the lady who just ordered. The two employees who were not prepping an order never attempted to take my order. After I waited too long already, a man walked in and called out his order across the counter. The employee who had been walking around behind the counter the entire time I was waiting patiently, promptly started prepping the new order as if she did not know I had been waiting for quite some time.
