Food and staff are amazing. No complaints there. The issues lie with the owners. They have zero business experience (and it appears they have no life experience either…. yikes) and decided to open this store solely to make money. Let me just say, it is very apparent. Staff are treated very poorly by the owners with “reviews” every time they get a paycheck (about every two weeks). In my experience any legitimate business has reviews ranging from every quarter to once a year. During these reviews there is frequent nitpicking about completely irrelevant things. Someone’s definitely on a power trip… I can’t forget to mention that the Mochinut contract requires the shops to be closed on federal holidays, but it never has been….. because why would you ever consider a healthy family life and work life balance for your part-time employees when you could make more money off them by staying open? 🙄 The leadership is lacking with the owners, more specifically with the one named Peter. He is very unprofessional and doesn’t have any understanding on how to properly manage a business or employees. He also doesn’t appear to have ever have developed any social skills. There’s a reason they’ve got high turnover for staff and rely on the same two people to always work. I’ve got secondhand embarrassment just thinking about all that is going on with this business. Whenever you pull up to the business it’s obvious which vehicles are the owners. Just look for the ones that are poorly parked and in the way. They seem to think that because they own the business they have the right to park wherever they want. It often makes it a nightmare for the truck drivers making deliveries to the businesses and is inconvenient for customers. This is a train wreck of a business and the owners need to be educated on proper leadership and business management (or maybe just use common sense) if they would like to be successful. I mean, c’mon. My 16 year old brother could do a better job running...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of visiting Mochinut, and I must say, it was an absolute delight! This unique fusion of mochi and donut has definitely won me over. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm and inviting atmosphere.
The selection of mochinuts at Mochinut is truly impressive. There were numerous flavors to choose from, each one more tempting than the last. Whether you're a fan of classic flavors like matcha or strawberry, or if you're feeling adventurous and want to try their creative combinations, Mochinut has got you covered.
Now, let's talk about the mochinuts themselves. Oh my goodness, they were heavenly! The texture of the mochi combined with the light and fluffy donut is a match made in dessert heaven. Each bite was like a burst of flavor and joy. The mochi was soft, chewy, and not overly sweet, perfectly complementing the delicate sweetness of the donut. It was a delightful balance of flavors and textures.
The staff at Mochinut were friendly and knowledgeable. They patiently answered all my questions and helped me choose the flavors that suited my taste. The service was prompt, and I was impressed with how well-maintained and clean the establishment was.
What also impressed me was the attention to detail in the presentation. The mochinuts were beautifully arranged, and you could tell that great care was taken in their preparation. The flavors were distinct and true to their descriptions, making each mochinut a delightful surprise.
I highly recommend Mochinut to anyone who wants to experience a unique and delicious treat. Whether you're a mochi or donut lover, or even if you've never tried either before, Mochinut is the perfect place to indulge your taste buds. Trust me, you won't be disappointed!
Overall, Mochinut exceeded my expectations. It's a wonderful spot to satisfy your sweet cravings with their delectable mochinuts. I'm already planning my next visit to try more of their flavors. Keep up the fantastic work,...
Read moreSo we have been following Mochinut on Instagram since last year, anxiously anticipating their grand opening, and I’ve gotta say…I’m pretty underwhelmed.
To start, we picked the matcha boba as a popular staple that any good boba place should be able to make…it was not good. Sure it was sweet and creamy, and by no means tasted BAD, but the authentic matcha flavor was totally absent. Tasted like it came from a sweetened matcha powder on par with Starbucks matcha. I give it a 5/10 because the tapioca pearls did taste homemade. Came out still warm in the bottom of the drink.
Now the mochi donuts…those were most disappointing of all. We tried the matcha, strawberry, and fruity pebble flavors. The matcha, which I expected to be the strongest of the three, was just not good. You can hardly taste it without really letting the icing melt on your tongue, and as soon as you finish your bite it leaves a really unpleasant bitterness as if they had put straight matcha powder over the donut. The strawberry was second for me. Decent flavor, classic donut, not much to get wrong there. The fruity pebbles one was our favorite, certainly captures the flavor of cereal and milk with the icing/topping combo used. Have to admit was a bit surprised to find the best part about it is the one ingredient they don’t make themselves..the fruity pebbles cereal topping. The dough itself was good, a nice chewy take on donuts with the use of rice flour. Overall I rate the donuts a 6/10 for the mixed quality of flavors but enjoyable dough. I’ll be back to try the Korean corn dogs to determine if this place is worth it. Maybe another donut if they try something like an Ube or Thai Tea...
