Papa Murphy's | Take 'N' Bake Pizza — Restaurant in Cary

I recently tried the 14’’ stuffed crust cheese pizza with garlic crust, and unfortunately, it fell well below expectations. What I received wasn’t remotely close to the quality you'd expect from a pizzeria—or even a halfway decent frozen brand. This pizza was more reminiscent of something you'd find under heat lamps at a rundown gas station or languishing in a school cafeteria.

From the first bite, the cheese slid off in one sad, rubbery sheet, the crust was overly doughy, and the whole thing was drowning in grease. As for the flavor—there wasn’t any. The garlic crust tasted like plain bread, and the "stuffed" portion was so bland I had to check twice to confirm it was actually filled with anything at all. Visually, the pizza looked promising, but the flavor simply didn’t match the appearance.

To be blunt, this was worse than anything I've had from Domino’s, Pizza Hut, or Papa John’s—and that's saying something. I’d never heard of Papa Murphy’s before, and now I understand why. This pizza would struggle to compete even in the frozen aisle.

To make matters worse, there was a shady billing issue. I selected a specific tip amount in person, only to discover later that exactly 20% had been added to my bill without my consent. No receipt was provided at the time, so I only caught this when reviewing my credit card statement. That’s not just poor service—that’s a serious red flag. Papa Murphy's, one of my personal favorites. This unique pizza place puts an amazing twist on delicious pizza. I thought handmade good cheap pizza would be hard to find but I was wrong. Papa Murphy's is a place where you can go to order unique pizza deserts, and pizzas handmade and ready to bake. Their pizza is perfect not to much bread and just the right amount of toppings to finish off a good pizza. But what I love is the great prices of sales and discounts they offer. If I could say more I would but if you have the time to bake and enjoy then this is the place for you, freshly made right to order and I love it. Good job...

The customer service was warm and friendly, and I truly enjoyed the overall experience. The pizza itself was tasty — the crust, cheese, and toppings were all very good. However, my only concern was with the sauce. On both pizzas we ordered, there was noticeably too little. The regular red sauce was barely detectable, and the creamy red sauce on the second pizza was almost nonexistent. When we pulled back the cheese, there was very little sauce underneath.
