** I can't seem to find another way to reply to the owner's comment to my review. No surprise that it did not specifically address my concerns. The reasoning is not apologetic, but generic and could cover any number of concerns. NO you did not have your prices in your paper menu and I had to ask an employee why there were no prices on the board. She said there were and pointed out the minuscule print under the item. Also did not address the abundance of fruit vs the fruit base. Even your receipt does not show prices. Why is that? Just went here for the first time - and last- with my granddaughter. The place was freezing. I ordered two bowls and had a $20 out expecting change. I was wrong. Had to get a credit card out. It was almost $26! Maybe some folks don't think price is a factor, but I wish prices were displayed better. Prices aren't even in the menu. For that price I could have gone down the street some and had a nice lunch. Consider this a special treat I said to myself, but then after getting it there was very little mango in mine. Lots of filler with oatmeal, pineapple, and strawberries. If I wanted a fruit bowl I would have gone to Harris Teeter and gotten one. The gal who took my order and money didn't make me feel welcomed. Needs to find a job where the public is not a factor. The second lady who I asked for a lid from was very pleasant. Very disappointing. I will go back to...
Read moreI really wanted to like this place, but the experience just wasn’t it. From the start, the greeting felt cold and unwelcoming. The interaction with the staff made me feel out of place, like whatever I said or asked for wouldn’t be taken the right way. Because of that, I didn’t even feel comfortable trying something else, I just decided to count my losses and leave it at that.
As for the açaí bowl, I kept it very simple, but even with something that basic, the flavor was lacking. The granola didn’t taste fresh or appealing, and the whole thing just didn’t come together well. With all the positive reviews, I was expecting much better.
Between the food and the atmosphere, this just wasn’t a good experience for me. Definitely not somewhere I’d come back to.
Edit: Lowered to 1 star. After visiting other places and looking back on my full experience here, I realized I was being too generous with 2 stars. The inconsistency and lack of quality I experienced don’t deserve...
Read moreSobal in Cary is an absolute gem! From the moment we walked in, the warm and inviting atmosphere made us feel right at home. The decor is charming, creating a cozy vibe that’s perfect for both casual meals and special occasions.
We ordered the acai smoothie bowls, and they were absolutely delicious! The bowls were beautifully presented, topped with fresh fruit, granola, and a drizzle of honey. Each spoonful was refreshing and packed with flavor, making for a perfect light meal or snack.
The menu offers a delightful range of dishes beyond the smoothie bowls, showcasing the chef’s attention to detail with vibrant, well-balanced flavors. The staff was outstanding—our server was attentive and knowledgeable, offering great recommendations that enhanced our experience.
Sobal is definitely worth a visit. I can’t wait to go back and try more of their menu!...
