Bagel House — Restaurant in Casa Grande

When I called to place an order, the jalapeño bagels had already sold out, so I wasn’t able to try them this time. When I arrived to pick up my order, it was still being prepared, so I took a seat. The owner came out, kindly asked if I had been helped, and I let her know I was just waiting for my order. We had a pleasant conversation—she was very friendly and made me feel welcome.

I was informed that they’ll be getting more equipment soon, which will allow them to produce more bagels and hopefully prevent them from selling out so quickly. I completely understand that this is a new establishment, so I wasn’t upset about the limited availability.

The bagels I did try were excellent—I tried the sesame, sea salt, and the plain, all of which were fresh and flavorful. I also sampled the strawberry cream cheese, honey walnut cream cheese, and plain cream cheese. Each one was delicious and paired perfectly with the bagels.

Good bagels, cute place. Service is poor & chaotic. Girl at the register had to take my order 4 times (really, 4) before ringing it up correctly. 7 bagels to go with a side of cream cheese. First it confused her that I wanted 7 ("Ummm, a half dozen is 6." Yeah, I know) Then she proceeded to enter incorrectly. A couple of times. When finally correct & I paid she got a bag, picked up tongs, then wandered over to the other side of the counter to talk to someone. MJ (the owner?) came out & talked to her & finally took the bag from her. She picked 5 bagels, then came to me and repeated the order wrong. I told her what I had ordered & she told me "That's too many." ?!?! I raised my voice & said "I paid for 7 bagels." She said the tag on the bag only showed the half dozen. I had luckily taken the receipt & showed her. She picked the other 2 bagels & gave me the bag saying the sticker was different from the receipt. Not my fault. Don’t come here !!! I got so sick after only 2 bites. The bagels have a really weird flavor there’s something wrong with them. They were small and stale as well. The avocado spread tasted rotten and there was no seasonings on anything it was so bland !! The matcha tasted more like milk than matcha. The whole place was chaotic as hell. They gave me a plain when I asked for an everything and all the girls were freaking out over nothing it wasn’t even that busy. I’ll be surprised if they stay open long. I’m kinda sad cause I was really excited for them to open but we had to go get food afterwards because we couldn’t even finish it 😭 my boyfriend literally couldn’t keep his down either it wasn’t just me.
