This was my first time at an eegee's so I asked the guy behind the register what would he recommend for a first timer. He seemed very knowledgeable and have some great suggestions. I decided on the Turkey Club warmed up. Some fries and drink. That's when it all took a small turn. The two people in front of me got their to go order pretty quickly. The guy behind me got his to go order in a fair amount of time but I still didn't have mine. A really nice young lady comes out to sweep the floor and notices me sitting there and says your food should be coming up soon. I think they are waiting on fries. All in all it took 10 minutes to get my order. I wasn't upset, but I just burned 10 minutes of my 30 minute lunch just sitting. When I unwrapped my sandwich, it felt cold. I thought to myself, "maybe they forgot to warm it up. Oh well". Took a bite and noticed my not warm Turkey Club was missing the bacon AND cheese. I took the rest of the sandwich to the guy who took my order, who then replaced the wrong sandwich with the right sandwich in a matter of seconds. (Now someone else is waiting for their sandwich)
The sandwich was good, not on the level of Fire House Subs good. But it blew Subway or if the water with the amount of meat in the sandwich. I'll go back if I'm ever near an eegee's again and I'm hungry. But I doubt if I would be seeking them out to cure...
Read moreGenerally my Granddaughters really love Eegees, but we may not return. On May 27 I went in at 10AM to pick up an order that had been prepaid for. I had ordered a large Eegees for 50 people. It wasn't ready when I arrived so was able to watch the process which wasn't good. There were multiple open buckets of product on the floor near the mop area. They would scoop the drinks out and dump into another bucket for the orders. One employee actually put his ungloved hand down inside one of the buckets which I brought to his attention. When I checked with my Granddaughter later about how the kids liked it she stated it was mostly melted and had hair in it. It was busy that morning, but I would assume most of the orders like mine had been preordered. There really isn't any excuse for the poor service. After reading a few other reviews about cleanliness I doubt very seriously much will be done about the problem. I do have pictures if a manager cares to see. Made 3 attempts to...
Read moreI went to eegees for the food, and a few things stood out to me and my taste buds: Got a roast beef sub with the normal fixings. Never had an issue with this type of food before and had an allergic reaction. I'm not sure why. Also, it had signs of being stored in a fridge or something. The bread was a bit soggy (no dressings), and the lettuce had ice chunks in it. Got a pretzel, too, and it was over salted, and for the price, you can get better at the quiktrip down the road. Got a skinny berry that tasted like a freshly opened strawberry scented car air freshener. It was weird and a little off-putting. Saving grace: I asked if I could swap it out to a strawberry, which was done, no questions asked, which I'm grateful for and why the "service" is a 5 star. However, it, too, had a bit of a weird chemical taste to it I was told it was going to be a love child of a icee and shaved oce and the consistency is true and great in the az heat. But definitely not...
