What an absolutely terrible experience. We walked in and weren't acknowledged at all. It was 6pm on a Saturday night so we were trying to be understanding. One host was wearing sweatpants, which we thought was weird. Another was wearing a stained, dirty hoodie and was so unfriendly. She finally came over after about 10 minutes and put us on the waiting list. We were a party of 8. She didn't tell us how long our wait would be. Fine, whatever. Another party of 8 came in after us and they daid they called and left a message for a reservation. the host snaps back at the lady talking to her and said "well if you didnt talk to anybody, you didnt make a reservation." We finally get sat down and we are in a 6 person booth when there were 8 of us. Whatever. they're busy, not a huge deal. My husband was forced to sit with half of his butt hanging off of the side of the booth so he was extremely uncomfortable. The drink menus were disgusting and sticky. We sat for a while before the server acknowledged us. He looked grungy.. his beard wasn't groomed and his hair looked greasy. He finally took our drink order and we figured it would take a while so we ordered appetizers. He came back with drinks and we needed another minute so he left. We were ready to order for quite some time. He came over and we tried to order TWICE, telling him that we were ready. He said he wasn't ready. Understandable, okay. Well an hour in, he FINALLY took our order. We had to ask for refills and asked for a round of alcoholic drinks. 15 minutes or so go by and he brings mine but not my husband's. He comes back later and offered him a beer and my husband was irritated as he had already asked for one a long time ago. We had thought about leaving at this point, but it was my daughter's birthday. She was very excited to eat there. I didn't want to ruin her day. Anyways, we get up to go to our truck and noticed that several parties that came in after us, including another table of 8, already had their food and were leaving. I go to the bathroom and notice it's disgusting too. Gross. By now, I didn't really want to eat but we were STARVING. Food runners dropped off our food and the server never came back. The food was mediocre at best. The sides of sauces we asked for were wrong but we're easy so we made it work. We watched as he attended to his other tables and waited, but ignored us. He walked by several times with his head down, not acknowledging us at all. We finally get him over there to get boxes and get out of there. We noticed that all of his other tables that were seated after us were done and paid for but we were still waiting. Another large party had been seated and were almost finished with their food. Like seriously? WHAT A JOKE. We finally get home at 9:30 at night. A 3.5 hour experience that could have been so much faster. We had plans after dinner too and had to bail. So frustrating. No manager in sight for the entire night. We will...

This was our first visit here. We were told its a great place to go in Casper. Im giving 4 stars instead of 1 because our server took care of us. Let me start from the begining....we got to the restaurant, it wasn't crazy busy but it took well over 5 minutes before someone even acknowledged us, they did get is seated promptly. Our server was friendly and gave us menus and took our drink orders shortly after. We put in an appetizer order when he returned with our drinks. Then a few min later he took our meal order. Our appetizers were really good and nice and hot and tasted great. We sat there for about 25 to 30 min waiting on our food. The server came over and apologized for the long wait he said it should be coming up shortly. 4 more tables have been seated after us by this point. Then a few min later the server came over and said the reason ours is taking so long is because a table of 25s order went in right before ours so the kitchen is backed up. We were trying to be patient and understanding but its been about 45 minutes now since we were seated. He said it should be up in about 2 min. 2 minutes came and went about 5 min late he came back to our table refilled drinks, apologized again and said he was comping the meal as our ticket was lost 😳. We were ready to leave by this point its already been over an hour. We had plans and things we wanted to finish up at home before ending our weekend and preparing for the next work week. About 10 min later we finally got our order, mind you there were more tables filled up and many of them had their food already, there was a table of 8 that came in after us that had all their food before us. Our order consisted of a club sandwich. A French dip and chicken fried chicken so not majorly complicate orders. I will say that the food was excellent and we will try again since the food was really good and our server was really nice. I would just make sure to go when not on a time crunch. Hopefully it was a fluke experience and if/when we go back ill update my review. Oh I wanted to also add that the restaurant itself is really cool. Lots of things to look at. There's cartoon characters, planes, cars, old gas pumps and so many other unique things to look at there and the menu is huge they pretty much have...

I usually park at the Hat Six truck stop one exit south, but today I chose to stay at the Flying J in order to try having dinner here as it was recommended to me by other truckers. This place is crammed full of junk everywhere so it's pleasantly surprising that it's very clean.

The menu is out of control busy. There has to be 200 items on it. I went with the artichoke spinach dip to start. It comes with tortilla chips, celery and carrots spears. The stuck the celery and carrots into dip so it comes out with half warm and half cold vegetables, which is a very weird decision. It cooled the dip very quickly too, so serving it in a mini cast iron pan is pointless. The flavor is pretty good though.

I went with the penne pasta with chicken and broccoli. I substituted grilled chicken instead of the breaded chicken. I also didn't want Cajun spice which they use in their cream sauce for this dish. I asked if I could get the Parmesan cream sauce they used in a different dish and they said no, but I could get "Alfredo sauce" instead so I opted for that.

The food presentation is weird (and gross). They throw the food down on aluminum trays like prison food. The salad didn't come on a plate or bowl, just thrown on a big tray. But that's not the gross part. When they brought out my pasta, it came with fried bread on the side. They then placed a plastic bead necklace on to top of it, along with a fifty nasty plastic Mardi Gras mask. The mask had greasy fingerprints all over it. I asked the waitress if they reuse this stuff and she said that they do but she "makes sure she puts clean one on the food." A) Gross, B) obviously no you don't, C) why are you contaminating food with plastic trinkets and toys? The pasta itself was overcooked mush. The "Alfredo" sauce was definitely reheated from frozen. It was separated and oily, nothing creamy about it. I tried eating but kept looking at the filthy mask staring at me and eventually lost my appetite. It was a pretty gross dish and experience.

The speed in which everything came out makes it very obvious everything is likely pre-made. It was noticeable in the quality of the food. None of it justified the $45.03 total for 1 person (before tip) I will go back to stopping at Hat Six...

What a fun and tasty restaurant. That's all I can say. The vibe you get when you first pull into the parking lot is 'this is going to be cool'. There are loony toons statues out front, dinosaur statues, and so much more. When you get to this amazing establishment. I would highly suggest at some point taking time to walk around inside and out. The vibe is like a still screen of movies. The greaser 1950s style chop shop mixed with fictional characters and actions shots made with elevated cars, broke down, and rusted cars. There is so much feeling, nostalgia and esthetic of this place. Now, down to the brass tax, the food. I had the junk yard dog, which is an anduille sausage layered in ghost pepper cheese on a bun with a side of veggies and a side of fried greenbeans. The sausage, though cut in half, was snappy in the casing. The cheese wasn't too spicy, and the bun soaked up all the juices from the sausage. The fried greenbeans were a mix of crispy breading and soft, fresh tasting greenbeans. Veggies were fresh and crisp and the food fresh. We also ordered the potato skins, which were hot, big potatoes scooped out and filled with loads of bacon, cheese, and green onion, served with a side of ranch. The fried pickles were hot, crispy, and flavorful even without ranch. Now lastly, down to the staff. It felt our hostess was slightly pushed back that we were there. However, she was nice and told us our server would be Jim. Jim was prompt, accurate, helpful, and nice. He made sure we had everything we needed and made sure that our 1 year old son was very included in the experience. He made both of our kids feel very special, and that in itself went a long way in the service he provided to us. All in all, the experience was amazing. The price of the food was well worth it. Around 20 dollars roughly per person, our bill was around what we expected to pay. All in all, we will be back to visit this place again. The parking lot is a one way, make sure you obide by that due to the fact that their decor goes all the way around the back of the building.
