The Railyard - Casper — Restaurant in Casper

The restaurant is small and not very nicely decorated. The tables are not particularly comfortable or clean. Kinda seemed like a sports bar atmosphere. So not horrible but not decorated very nicely. The food is mediocre at best. Mostly burgers and tacos and stuff like that. I feel like I could make a better burger at home. Their duck dumpling appetizer was pretty good though. And their staff is TERRIBLE. I went there and spent probably 40-60 minutes waiting for our waitress to come check on us/take our order. Like we waited 15 minutes for her to get our drink order. 15-20 more minutes for her to ask if we wanted an appetizer and she didn’t take our entree order at this time. The appetizer came out and we still waited 15 minutes after it came out for her to get our entree order. And then we finally got that in, ate, and it took her 15-20 minutes to bring us the check. And not once did she check on us in between any of these times, was pretty rude, and ran off anytime she came and asked us anything. I would really not recommend this restaurant unless you have an hour and a half to kill, are okay with not eating for that hour and a half, and want mediocre food and bad service. I dont usually do restaurant reviews. But here we are. Were here on a Thur. Not overly busy inside. Got here at 9pm. Waited 10 mn. To be seated. Waited another 15 before anyone came to speak to us at all. No water. No napkins (i went to take some from another table.) Took 30 mn to get appetizer, which we found a hair in. (But our neighbors at the table received literally raw bacon on their BLT, not sure who was more grossed out) Took 45 to get 2 cocktails. (I see 3 bartenders and 4 people sitting at the bar. So this one blows my mind.) Realize the server is having a hard night, kitchen and slow bar isnt her fault. We ordered BLTs (before we saw that it, apparently comes raw.) So im kind of scared. On the other hand, were still waiting, we may not get our food at all. Wont be back....

Hanna was our waitress. It was her 2nd day and she did an awesome job! Food was bad! I had chicken fried chicken with mashed potatoes. The breading was burnt and the chicken was to dry to eat. There was maybe 2 tablespoons of potatoes under the chicken. It certainly wasn't not a serving of potatoes. My husband and son-in-law had the Chicken Fried steak Breakfast scramble. They were cold and my husband's eggs were not cooked. My daughter had a breakfast burrito and it was cold. My granddaughter had the French toast, which she said wasiwonderful. I out of 5.
