Clear Light Coffee Company® Private Event Space — Restaurant in Castle Hills

First-time visitor, and I have to say this place has some room for improvement. Upon first walking in, the place is much smaller than their online marketing makes it seem. Secondly, our coffees came out in paper/plastic cups even though we were dining in. Paper cups usually have PFAS and are environmentally wasteful, so I prefer cafes with real mugs if I am lingering for a while. Also, they were completely out of all food except one pastry and this was well before noon. Additionally, power outlets were scant and were only located near the bar. The bar was already small, and they had piled up their merch so it wasn't very inviting or spacious if you needed to stay connected to power for working on your laptop if needed. Lastly, they had a rude patron that took a phone call and put it on speaker, ruining the atmosphere. I know this last one is beyond their control, but overall, today's experience does not make me want to return. Alright everyone I stopped in here right before they closed. This coffee place is very beautiful aesthetically and gives off that wine/coffee/book vibes. However I didn't stay for a coffee in house. To be honest all I was able to receive was a cold brew. The establishment said I came in when they were going to close and already cleaned their espresso machine. I don't mind cold brew coffee but I can't really say I was a fan of this coffee. Just a bit acidic. But maybe it's because they weee closing and that's the only thing they had available. Clear light is the coffee spot! We were frequent visitors of the original West Ave store on the weekends and loved everything about it. Now that this location is open, we will be here more often. The coffee and espresso are top tier as well as the food. Get the breakfast sandwich - you won’t regret it. Did I mention they serve wine by the bottle and glass? Appropriately priced too.
