It was the second time that I had gone to this Sonic since moving to the area. I had casually ordered one drink and a meal, very simple order. I wasn’t being difficult at all. The guy that initially took my order was very respectful and told me that it would take about 5 minutes. 10-15 minutes pass, I'm a bit annoyed but otherwise just waiting in the car patiently.
Then finally a different guy shows up with my order. He was lanky, 18-20 something years old, had a top knot, and the peach fuzz of a pedophile. He quickly opens the window, rudely speaks to me and aggressively hands me my order like I had just got done yelling at him. I ask for straws and he continues to hand them to me in the exact same manner. Again, had casually spoken to someone else before that and was just sitting in my car, not doing anything.
I was close to chewing this guy out when I instead decide to just take off and deal with it another day. I admittedly did change my mind after I’d driven away the first time and circled back around so that I could tell him something, but I again let it go. I did so because most of the people working at the time looked like they were in their 20's or younger (Meaning they’d more than likely have each other’s back and not do anything).
I called the next morning thinking that I'd be speaking to a manager that would care, but instead I get one that sounded disinterested and just offered me a free meal in hopes that it’d be enough. At no point was I under the impression that they were sorry or would do anything about the employee (top knot, lanky, looks like Joakim Noah's terminally ill younger brother) that was rude for no reason.
That just tells me they aren’t looking to change anything about that Sonic. It’s just going to keep sucking until they notice that they’re losing money over it. So I’d insist that you don’t go to this Sonic (2209 NW Military Hwy, San Antonio, TX 78213). Not even if it’s the...
Read moreWorst experience to date. I’m still trying to wrap my head around meal pricing vs À la carte. This location doesn’t do meals. Only À la carte. Sat in line for 15 mins just to order the food. The guy taking the order sounded like he was on drugs. Got my entire order wrong. As well as the kitchen idiots. Wanted 2 dill smasher burgers, he asked if I wanted the meals or the burgers by themselves. Meals. Dill seasoned tots with both meals. What drink? Dr pepper. Would you like todo a large on both? Yes! Extra grillo pickles please! Oh we’re out of them at the moment. Okay extra of both regular type please. Repeated my tot request a 3rd time. Mayo on one. No cheese on both (this location is known to charge for taking cheese off). 25 mins later make it to the window. Madison was the only one that seemed to know what was going on. Kept apologizing. This one charged me for 1 medium order of tots (definitely wasn’t medium or dill seasoned) 2 separate large dr peppers Separate orders of burgers. Charged for extra pickles. Totaling out to 27.xx Manager came to the window after she was done smoking a cigarette. She asked what could be done to make it right? Ummm charge me for the actual meals. Not separate items. Refund me the difference. Her response “you didn’t order the meals” You asked for stuff separately. I just put my head down and she just looked at me like a deer in the headlights. Kitchen staff asking whats wrong. “I dont know. Trying to figure it out” She insisted i redo the order again and pay for it. Then she’d refund me my money for the original one. Yeah. Wait another 25-30 mins for another order. Thats efficient. Just drove off. Got home and no extra pickles. Almost No lettuce. No seasoned tots. Burger patties were crisper than...
Read moreHubby n I went for quick 2 combo meals and a slush. Only one car ahead of us at drive thru. Pulled up to window when it was our turn, hubby saw the total of $18.63 and proceeded to swipe the card. After all, it's there for convenience, right? Apparently not. 10 minutes later young blond associate comes to the wondow and asks "anybody talk to you yet?" No. "Your total is $18.90." Hubby explains he swiped the card and paid, she HUFFED at him and said "you paid for the wrong meal. We don't let people swipe their cards here." Rudely shut the window to get our drinks. We have lived in this neighborhood for years, and this would be considered our Sonic. Never has any associate been so rude or put out by us paying in advance using THEIR convenient little terminal. Several times I have waited in the drive thru, handed my card to the window associate and they swipe while I apologize for not being more observant and taking care of it myself. They have always responded with a smile and "no problem". Not tonight. This young lady, she had no nametag on, returned with our drinks and my husband APOLOGIZED to HER and said he hopes he didnt mess anything up. She spoke not one word. Just shut the window in his face to return moments later with our squished meals. No ketchup, no napkins, no usual Sonic mints, no smile, no thank you, no f you, nothing. I can only hope the car behind us had a better visit. Next time I need to remember Jack In The Box is closer and...
