Gelato&Co. Castle Rock — Restaurant in Castle Rock

It was enjoyable but not fantastic. If I were in the neighborhood I would be inclined to return but I am not sure if I would go out of my way to go there like I did on this visit.

My gelato was a bit on the soft side but good. This did take away from my experience. My sorbet was enjoyable as well.

My wish is to be able to split my single dish. I wanted to try the sorbet but two scoops ended up being too much.

The traditional square gelato spoon was a nice touch. If they get the texture down as well, this place would be amazing!

I have only been here this one visit, so keep this in mind regarding the critique of the texture. Though I only tried one flavor, it was definitely a classic gelato flavor ...

So I waited a week to post because I really don't like leaving poor reviews. 2 stars instead of 1 because the staff was very friendly and great with letting my niece and I sample flavors before choosing. The shop is beautiful and has lots of great options for sweets. While enjoying our gelato there was a hair in mine and I while i didn't take a photo because I immediately took it to the counter to let one of the young ladies see what was in my cup. She did offer to give me another scoop and I declined but that seemed to be it. I let her know the flavor of the gelato that had the hair and she nonchalantly said ok but didn't seem like there was going to be any action to remove that flavor from being served going forward...

I would give 5 stars but continue to get disappointed in the size of the serving and related cost.. I know it's a high end product and they definitely have quality gelato , but it's hard to justify paying 8 or 9 dollars plus tip for the serving size of one come ...I'll see people get a cup of gelato that's bigger than what you get in a cone. I tried this first-hand at the HR location...recently went to the new Castle Rock location and the servings are getting smaller . was very disappointed...if I'm going to spend 20 dollars including tip on 2 comes I would at least like to feel I'm getting my moneys worth ...so much disparity between servers on size of cones and cups which is very noticeable ...quality 5 stars. ...
