On 4/28/2024 Sunday, around 1:40 pm, one of these few luxury moments that I don't need to tend kids or work crazy hours, I decided to treat myself an ice cream cone before starting shopping.
At the beginning everything was good. The staff was welcoming and friendly, and I found the flavor I liked. I sat down and enjoyed my peace and freedom, then I realized the paper was glued to the middle of the cone. It was super glued. I've tried to scrape the paper from the cone, and tried to scratch it with my nails from different angles, but the paper was still super stuck to the cone. It's impossible to continue to eat. So I walked to the staff, and told them my issue, and asked if they could exchange the cone for me (then I could transfer the ice cream from the old cone to the new cone myself).
I was told:
all the cones are the same
If I want another cone, I'd need to pay for the extra.
The ice cream is non-refundable per their policy.
They could offer me a fork for me to scrape off the paper.
I asked to see a manager. After I waited for a while, one staff member told me they couldn't reach out to the manager and there's nothing else they could do. So I walked away and threw the ice cream cone to the trash can.
I paid less than 6 bucks and I don't really care about a few dollars, but this experience really sucked and ruined my only me-time that I got for a long while. I believe if I were at a restaurant and I was served wrong order or bad food, the default treatment would be to have a replacement. But not only they didn't try to mend the issue, but also they seem don't care about the quality ( all the cones are the same, really? All the cones have paper super glued? Then why you are continuously feeding people papers and you think it's okay?)
I had ice cream at many places, but this kind of experience was the first. I will not return nor take my kids there...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreDelicious chocolate pieces that are hard to find anywhere else around here. Iāve been to Rocky Mountain chocolate factory at least a dozen times now. The prices are high, but the quality and taste is a great deal superior than anything that you could get at a grocery store. I will stay away from fudge next time, as today I bought some for the first time and it was completely wrapped/sealed in saran wrap that caused the fudge to be soaking wet, mushy, and smell like play-Doh. Iāve had a lot of fudge in my life and that was the worst Iāve ever had. In conclusion, Iām giving this review a three star based on the Pros; delicious chocolate, caramel, candy apples, and the Cons; expensive and worst fudge...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIn general I really love RMCF however⦠I am super disappointed in their attempt to do the Dubai chocolate bar. First of all for $20 itās already expensive and I do get the price and would have happily paid for a something has gone viral to try once⦠BUT it was an utter fail. It was just pistachio cream? Where is the fried phyllo dough? Thatās why that bar was even viral in the first place. Absolute rip off and if I could get my money back k really wish I could have because the most important part was not even there⦠extremely misleading. I had five other people blind taste it and they confirmed no fried phyllo doughš© does the chocolate taste good? I guess so but again please donāt call this āDubai...
