THIS PLACE IS AMAZING!! I came here because of the reviews and yes, the reviews are very accurate. This is a first class establishment. I went here with my grandparents, and my grandpa, well he's a bit picky and he liked his food too. Even if somebody in your group "doesn't like Indian food", after coming here they just might so come try it anyways!!
The menu has a ton of vegetarian and gluten free options as well as vegan, you can literally bring anybody here as there will be ample choices for everybody. The samosas come with absolutely lovely mint sauce and tamarind sauce.
I ordered the chicken curry and it was the best curry I've ever had, no question, the chicken was so tender and it was a flavor explosion and my brain was going crazy with all the flavors!! You can really tell they use fresh quality ingredients in their food, as there is no way it could be this good otherwise.
I got 4/5 stars and it was decently spicy. I like spicy and next time I'm getting 5 stars! The spice was very good, it didn't just hit you right away, it took a while to show itsself. The flavors are very complex and pair very well together. I need to get myself an Indian cuisine cookbook and start learning how to make some curries like this. The basmati rice had cumin seeds in it which really gave the basmati an amazing flavor. I will be doing this with my basmati now. The naan was very good as well. All three of us ordered the malbec, which was the second best malbec I've had before. Overall the flavors were really great.
The service was also very good, you can truly tell that they care here. They want you to have a very positive experience and that is obvious, we all left this place with a warm fuzzy feeling because the food was so good and so was the service. I would recommend this place to anybody and will...
Read moreGreat food, large variety of dishes, family friendly. Never been been disappointed...in the food itself. DO NOT ORDER FROM THEIR ONLINE WEBSITE. Said food ready in 30 minutes. They didn't even START to make our food until an hour and twenty minutes AFTER I placed the order. Multiple promises of "we're working on it now" as we sat there were not true. Nothing kills family dinner night like waiting in the parking lot for an extra hour and a half. More than one person waiting for take-out ordered online (as we all sat around joking about it) just got up and left. Spoke to the manager who said the website was out of their control, and I was free to leave a negative comment online if I didn't like the service....so here you go.
In summary - great food and will order again at some point, but very disorganized take-out service and fake promises of when the food would be ready. Save yourself the disappointment by just calling them directly and asking what the real wait time is before you order so you can plan your night accordingly (or make a decision to get food somewhere else...
Read moreI had ordered take out, today, from this place. It was ready by the time I got there. Couple of observations - the host, who handed over the food, had the most stoic and a rather disapproving look. No smile and not even a 'thank you'. I would go out on a limb here and say that it was either because some Indian restaurants prefer an 'white-only' clientele for reasons best known to them, or that the guy was having a bad day. Either ways, the brief interaction seemed very different from what I generally witness when I visit other restaurants in Castle Rock. Zaika was not my first choice since I prefer Tamarind, which was unfortunately really busy today and not accepting door-dash orders. However, this sub-par customer service is something that can improve and the management would do well to train every employee (unless of course the intent is to not serve people from the subcontinent, in which case this review would not matter anyways). The food was okay. I would rate it a 5 on 10. I have had worse and I have had better. I had ordered a chicken curry and a...
