This location has a serious problem of allowing untrained house pets into the store that then actively endanger actually disabled customers who are also members of working service dog teams. Manager doesn’t care because “a service dog hasn’t been attacked in my store yet” even though that exact situation came within inches of happening in her store if I hadn’t been paying attention with my own medical equipment and some woman’s two dog-reactive house pets attempted to attack my legally protected task-trained & public-access-trained service dog. Castle Rock is a fast growing community, and just because something has yet to happen doesn’t mean you shouldn’t have any actionable plans to keep your patrons safe. I have never been treated so poorly the way I was by the man behind the deli counter. Not only once but twice. I was scolded for ordering a sandwich and talked to like I was a piece of trash. I also witnessed the two women behind me get the same poor treatment, it was pretty appalling. After speaking with a manager, we were told that he’s been working many shifts, and he needs understanding. This was even more appalling.
