El Tarasco — Restaurant in Cathedral City

Tarascos Is one of kind around the valley the atmosphere is unique not many Caucasian people come here although when they do prepare to be stared at.

This is an authentic Mexican restaurant (taco shop)

As the tacos are well made ( marinated pork tacos ) & condimented, burritos(beans,rice,marinated pork) are enormous & flavorful, both these foods were made delicious.

#1 our coca cola was flat they charge about $5 for a large pour.

#2 condiments bar is not looked after at all ( needs to be constantly taken care of which I don't see at all ) there are cucumbers,radishes,salsas,jalapeños,limes that are uncovered (no lid , sometimes no ice)

#3 tables are not wiped down ever, We've sat here for an hr at different times & never do they get wiped.

#4 it's a cash only establishment ( so be ready with your cash no cards ,no tap, ONLY CASH.

Regardless the Food is delicious, the portions are generous, the ambience is tuff if your taking someone that's not Mexican or Latino American (be ready for...

Heads up 🌮 El TARASCO located in Cathedral city 🌮 THE EMPLOYEES ARE RUNNING A SCAM 🌮 When you pay with a debit card they will tell you your card declined and then ask you to pay cash. 🌮 I ordered 30 tacos, they tried to tell me my card declined. I asked her to show me the machine, it did not decline. It processed, she hit the offline button so my info was still saved and would process days later. She tried to get me to pay cash. I told her no, told her to tell the cook to cancel the order, she wouldnt show me the transaction receipts. They just Charged my card 3 days later. 🌮 They didn't expect to rip someone off who is in the industry and knows how this scam works.✊spread the word

Alot of people are coming out saying it's happend to them all over...

On the way to the restroom I found a roach on the wall.. after that I asked the lady if I could kindly get my money back and she refused the first few times I asked she said my food is done and why i needed my money back there was customers behind me so I was trying to be nice and just ask for my money back without explaining why then after refusing multiple times I had to say I don't want to eat here because you have roaches she then quickly opened the register and handed me my money she was rude to....
