Great little Philippine/Asian market stuffed with all kinds of product. Also offering take out prepared food. You won't be disappointed. The only place I can find Thai Chilies. What a treasure! I love to cook, (and eat). If you love Asian/Thai, then this place has it all! From the outside you wouldn't think of patronizing this place. But inside they are a small grocery store packed to the gills with tons of unusual products. Unfortunately, I don't know how to cook with most of this stuff but that's okay since they also have a small assortment of cooked items for take-out or you can sit at a communal table and enjoy on site. I had lunch there and it was delish and affordable! I was also thrilled to see that they have quail and duck eggs. I have wanted to use them in the past but didn't know where to buy them. Read moreThe people who own this market are friendly and nice and so are the employees. We have always had a plesent shopping experience and found so meny items we need. They stock a large variety of foods and cooking wear. They also have food items like pork blood for specific South East Asian dishes and recipes. You can ask if they have other food items in stock. If they don't have them they may be able to stock. I like the big assortment of baked goods and the freshly prepared hot dishes you can punches. Thay have Large steamed buns filled with pork or chicken. For a small market they have a great variety! We live near 29 Palms Marine Base, and there's no closer Asian market. We are so happy Fil-Am market is...
Read moreA basic Asian market where you can get the usual staples ie rice noodles, curries, vinegars, sauces. There's a deli that had cooked food that smelled and looked good. Sliced pig ear. Satay. Fresh juices. Produce section okay but in no way like a 99 Ranch Market. Went there for Asian mushrooms and only found slim pickings of oyster mushrooms so was disappointed. But overall, a decent store though not what we are used to living in L.A. Just expect your basic stuff with modest fresh produce. Given that this is only 1 of 2 Asian markets in Palm Springs it's better than none. And lastly, management was friendly...
