It’s no surprise that this store struggles with poor and common sense customer service. Various employees here honestly, in my opinion, continue to hurt the Starbucks brand. Now I know the store manager here is wonderful and woks very hard with staff however, some staff that doesn’t get basic 101’s in decision making and/or policy and application, etc., should not continue to work here. There is no doubt that various employees have a power trip and or just want to win, they may struggle elsewhere in life on that front so they apply it to everyday and repeat customers. Unfortunately, after three incidents that scream and point to the greater issue a review must be left. This coming from a prior customer/client service champion, and leader at a prior billion dollar org. that I departed. Not to toot my horn but I created the dept from scratch and once again employees here continue to recite and make the wrong choice. That’s ok as it will he another coffee shops win today and possibly soon for good. I will be speaking with management and it’s unfortunate that some folks here literally aim to get their way before even taking someone’s order (prior to applying thought). This time that i went to get a refill for 50cents for a hot citrus defender the girl was so nice and said ok the tea is only 50 for refill and not defender and so i said ok, Next thing you know this lady with blond hair comes and all rude too tell me how they don't do refills for the defender. I work at the little caesar two doors down and i think its sad how she can talk to customers. Poor girl.. Anyway have a nice day.
Went again march,14,18 8:45. The lady with long blond hair was eyeballing me the entire time. Ordered a hot tea with one of the employee and the same lady had the nerve too check my tea and ask the cashier if i paid for it. Whats wrong with this lady.. I'll be going in every other day and i won't be asking her too...

The employees get the job done but wouldn't necessarily say they're comparable to other locations where there is warm welcome feeling.
Drinks as you can see in the pictures are made well & perfectly no complaints, service is not fast but it is steady, & most importantly made to perfection.
I've learned that most of the time employees are tired of dealing with the weird people so overall they're experience is simply overwhelming after a while (8 hr shifts of complicated,picky & cheap)
So I'm being highly empathetic on this one , Cathedral City has grown to be a difficult location to have a business in overall.
