Juan Pollo — Restaurant in Cathedral City

I been going to Juan Pollo since they opened here in Cathedral, always great service, quick in and out, very convenience, I called your 909 number to report my experience today I got a voicemail mailbox was full, I was at your establishment around 6pm today 11/21 one person ordering in front of me, while he was ordering I was watching this large employee male, draining something from the ovens, if I have to guess, I think was the liquified fat from the chickens, he was pushing a large steam pan by hand then he pushed with his feet creating a spill on the floor, he then graved a water house and started rinsing the floor ( hazard for others) but that not all, same staff member jumped on the cutting line with out washing his hands or following safety and sanitation protocols, after noticing that, I told the cashier to please cancel my order, I usually get the 3 chicken combo with sides and 5 jalapenos, I know this establishment has not been open for very long time, always had a great experience, I even had the opportunity to talk to the owner abut training new staff well, I would hate to see it decade, attention to detail goes a long way, best of...

Iv eaten Juan pollo growing up! Always went to the calimesa location. Then when I moved to the desert I saw they opened a few locations out here. Iv only been to the cathedral city location and have catered many times for my kids birthday parties! NOT ANYMORE. I recently grabbed a family pack for my family (over $45 worth) and found a hair in my chicken breast while eating. I was very upset so I called Juan pollo and spoke to the supervisor who told me if I brought the hair in she would refund me the family meal I bought. I debated on driving all the way over there but figured I would show her the hair and get my money back. I arrived and showed the supervisor she agreed that it is indeed a hair and quickly grabbed it from me to throw it away. She proceeds to tell me that she cannot refund me but offer me a new chicken breast or refund me the cost of the chicken breast. She literally could have told me that before having me drive all the way over there and back TWICE. Moral of the story check your food before leaving. I'm putting 1 star due to you have to put a start the review. We've been there once before and was happy with our meal. The 2nd time I went ordered our food to take home. As we open the rice there was a foul odor coming from the container. I thought no big deal, I got another one. Opened the 2nd one and the same thing happened. The salsa was bad too or should I say 3.. I called the store to let them know that the rice and salad was bad. The gentleman that answered the phone told me NOOOO NOO WE MAKE THE RICE EVERYDAY!!!
