Starbucks — Restaurant in Cave Creek

Usually customer service is great here. However, today was a different story. When I arrived this morning one of the barista was yelling at a customer to stand in line by the baked goods counter. She rolled her eyes as she was berating the gentlemen. However, what she didn't see was that he couldn't get past a baby stroller, while the kids mother was being taken care of by the other barista. Upon hearing the barista yell at the customer the mother moved the stroller. No big deal. The gentleman was helped by the other barista, who seemed appalled by her co-workers atrocious attitude. But then.... Oh No! My turn. And its with the rude barista. I tried to place my order and she pretended like she couldn't understand me. She screeched"WHAT?" I repeated and she again pretended like she couldn't understand me and was quite rude. AGAIN! I was about to repeat my order, but said "no I'm done". And I walked out. If you don't feel like doing your job and you feel the need to take your miserable life on others maybe you shouldn't have a job in customer service. VERY DISAPPOINTED. So much I spelled it in...

Finally able to give a great review to this store. My past experiences at this location have been in a word word miserable Ranging from bad attitudes, and a lack of customer appreciation to slow service and lack of basic Starbucks great service Today was such a pleasant experience and complete change. Maybe I just got lucky and got the A team with a black apron barista and a crew that understands service. We consumers will pay for an overpriced cup of jo as long as we get the added value of being treated very well and our expectations exceeded. I arrived my order was ready the staff greeted me, kindly referred to me by name and pointed to my ready and waiting order, I asked for an ice water and received and quick “of course, would you also like a cup holder “. A smile and “thank you for coming in, have a great Monday”. By the way, the store was busy, and staffed well to handle the business.

Please know that this review is solely based on one girl at this location. The other employees are fantastic, their coffee is good. I asked for caramel apple and she said they were out. I just got it yesterday but I’ll take her word for it. So she says they can do apple juice for the flavor instead, I said ok. Perfect. She said they do caramel drizzle on top, I said “can you just do caramel sauce in the drink?” (Like a few pumps, not just a drizzle) She’s like “no, we’re out of caramel apple.” “I know, but can you do just the caramel sauce in the drink?” She’s like, “we’re out of caramel apple, we only have caramel sauce.” I ended up not getting a drink because this gal apparently has no sense and can’t understand simple english. Please train your employees better… it wasn’t a complicated nonfat soy sugar free crazy foo foo drink…
