I went to Martin's tonight with my family for dinner and I ordered a carnitas burrito. I misread the menu, not realizing that the burrito contained rice. When I went to reread the menu our waitress asked me what was wrong. I told her i couldn't eat the burrito with rice but she made no offer to replace my order. I then said i would like to change my order but she refused to do so so I said forget it, please take it back. She then neglected to remove the charge for my order from the bill! To my mind, this is unheard of in a nice restaurant. I feel she could have taken my problem seriously and made a gracious effort to solve my problem. After dinner I went back and asked to speak to the owner or manager. That turned out to be our waitress herself, who continued to argue with me in front of her employees and show me extreme disrespect. At that point her husband, the co- owner came from the kitchen and we resolved the problem outside in a friendly manner. He apologized to me, acknowledged that his wife handled the situation inappropriately and he refunded to me the price of the burrito, minus the tax (!) Customer service is declining everywhere and standards are in the gutter these days Why? A business owner should be prepared to do the minimum to keep clients happy and respect and courteousness should be a priority especially in a "nice" restaurant. There is a right way and a wrong way to do business with the public and it didn't go right at Martin's tonight. I thank the gentleman for stepping in and taking steps at the end to solve my problem but as a customer I should never have been put in the situation where I had to push so hard for results. I should have been treated from the outset with courtesy and respect. My family will never return to Martin's because the food was not so special that we can't get something better elsewhere , where we know we can count on gracious , professional service from business owners who take their reputation, traditional good customer service and their relationship with the public a little...
Read moreMy family and, I had gone into Martins yesterday about 4:30pm around dinner time. There was another older couple at the time and just us. We get seated and order our drinks my mom and I order lemonades and, my husband ordered a Pepsi. He took a drink of the Pepsi and he had two ants on his lip. We tried to figure out all the possibilities we then looked inside of the cup there were two more ants. Which they offered him another drink and he just went with water. We ordered our food I ordered a penne with meatballs. The dish itself was decent and edible but, you can tell they cut some corners they need to be more patient. I was the last plate served, when my soup came out cold I was like alright. It was still good but, back to the pasta it was watered down and I could tell it was because they were rushing it out. The service was great and polite until, the young man who served the ant Pepsi came over and apologized for it happening then ended the conversation with âfor real though I didnât see the antâ I straight up told him well we did?! I donât know what he was trying to insinuate but, it felt unprofessional.itâs a little out dated, had broken kitchen stuff out front, and lack of parking. The restaurants concept drew us in, I think itâs an amazing idea. I think they need to take more pride in cleaning the machines, and in the restaurant in general to keep the doors...
Read moreI went there five minutes ago to place it to go order. It was not busy but one girl was on the phone. Another girl came up and delivered it to go order to a family that was waiting for it. I told her that I wanted to make it to go order.. I stood in front of them with the menu in my hand ready to order and neither one of them acknowledge me. They didnât say weâll be with you in a minute, let us take care of this problem first, or any like that. After standing there for about five or six minutes without acknowledgment for either one of them, I threw the menu on the counter and walked out. I walked back to our hotel, told my husband what happened and we decided to go to the Sea...
