Totally Worth Extending Our Trip For!
Moseyâs was high on our list to try, but when we got to town on Monday, they were closed. Google said theyâd be closed Tuesday too â and we wanted to try it so badly that we extended our stay another night at the Pacific Motel (which, by the way, was a five-star experience on its own). Turns out Moseyâs was open Tuesday â so yes, their Google hours need updating!
By Wednesday, we were beyond excited. My friend got the Junior (no onions or lettuce), I went for the Triple smashburger, we split a basket of fries, and my partner ordered the Chicken Big Taco. The verdict? My Triple Smashburger was hands-down the best burger Iâve ever had. Crispy edges, amazing sauce, not greasy or messy â just perfect.
The fries were seasoned well but couldâve been crispier. Still, we nearly polished off the basket. Next time, Iâll skip the fries and go straight for that Triple again.
Moseyâs has that nostalgic, beachside charm â a total throwback in the best way. Simple, satisfying, and just really good food in a chill setting. Sometimes itâs the little things in life that leave the...
Read moreI really really wanted to love this place. Having grown up in Cayucos and working at Skipperâs (now Hidden Kitchen) I was very excited about the prospect of burgers on the beach. And while the staff is great and you canât get a better location, the food just did not deliver. The tallow french fries had a good flavor, but weâre super soggy. Just turn up the fryer boyz! The burger buns are crumbly and dry and the Smashburger itself was dry and super sparse. Mine came with a teaspoon of grilled onions and one pickle slice. đȘ And whatâs this craziness about charging extra for lettuce and tomato? Charge $1 more and just make it part of the burger. I think with a few tweaks, Moseyâs could be amazing and I really want them to succeed. But in order to be successful in Cayucos, youâve got to...

Brand new to the Cayucos scene, Moseyâs Burgers opened just about three weeks ago and is already serving up some seriously satisfying burgers. For the price point, itâs hard to beat â everything is made fresh and cooked to order, and it really hits all the marks for a great-tasting burger.
The menu is simple, and thatâs a good thing â theyâve focused on doing a few things really well. No frills, just quality ingredients and solid execution. Whether youâre a local or just passing through the Central Coast, this spot is definitely worth a stop.
