I've visited Bristlecone a couple of times while passing through town. I have no motive for leaving a negative review, other than addressing honestly the dangers of malpracticed yoga.
As much as I would like to give Bristlecone a higher rating for the effort of creating a space to practice yoga and share the discipline with it's greater community, I cannot. Practicing yoga here is haphazard to ones body, the instructors will not monitor your form for correct movement, breath, or position, resulting in individuals practicing bad form and compromising rhythm and breath, jeopardizing the integrity of your vertebrae.. YOU WILL SPEND YEARS LEARNING HOW TO CORRECTLY BREATHE INTO A POSE, DISCOVERING HOW THE POSE STRETCHES THROUGHOUT YOUR BODY, AND BREATHING OUT OF THE POSE IN PREPARATION FOR THE FOLLOWING POSE. IF THE INSTRUCTOR IS NOT TEACHING YOU TO DO THIS, YOU ARE NOT THEIR STUDENT AND THEY DO NOT CARE. This is the type of studio that sells coffee and takes your money to blast music and have you watch a novice to yoga "teacher". This is not a discipline of compassion in growth through sadhanas and an exploration of depth in order to discover personal strategies for maintaining inner peace in the contemporary world, keep that in mind when you come here.
I've never heard of someone successfully doing sadhanas and peeling back the pedals/sporophylls of a pinecone to breath life into the world at a rate of 100

I absolutely adore this place. The interior, the philosophy, the food and drinks. I haven’t tried the yoga classes yet, so this review will cover my personal service and food experience only.
I cannot express how happy I am that half of the menu items are vegetarian. There is even a vegan friendly option. The food tastes very delicious, so does the coffee. My secret recommendation is the London Fog and the Lemonade, but more about that later.
The reason I give only four stars is that some of the staff is not very knowledgeable about the menu. I have been here about five times and each time none of them were able to tell which roast the coffee is or tell me more details about food and drink items. The lemonade on the menu claims to be lavender but it seems changing every other day. The berry lemonade they had that day was phenomenal but nevertheless, it created wrong expectations and a slight disappointment.
I’m confident the staff will receive better training over time to have more information. I have to say that they were always friendly when there was a mixup in the order. I will come back and definitely try the yoga classes.
EDIT: I have attended one of their yoga classes. The teacher was amazing and very accommodating to the needs. However, I won’t go back there until some major risk mitigation has been done! Bristlecone is acting very irresponsible during a global pandemic. The class was packed! There was no cap on the class size (even though they have an online registration system) and people were flooding the room. We we were all cramped up in class during a pandemic. I felt so uncomfortable but it was also not appropriate to leave while a class is ongoing. Also, nobody was required to wear a mask. Considering that we were all on top of each other and had no possibility to be 6 feet apart, that should have been the minimum. I hope Bristelcone is reconsidering their mission to support people on their health journey and take COVID-19 serious. Very...
Read moreIf I could give the service 100 stars, I would!! This place is a hidden gem in Cedar City’s downtown area. You walk in and the aroma is spectacular. The fixtures, decor, tables and furniture are out of this world, immaculate and stunning golds, velvets, blacks, antiques with a modern twist. I love that you check out the menu and order up front. They have a yoga studio in the back, gorgeous women all around, everyone ready to give you a big smile or share a small chat. They also have a shop in back filled with beautiful yoga clothing and accessories and the women at the store cashier area had the sweetest smile and the friendliest attitude.
The bathrooms were immaculate to say the least with a small table in the corner with extra hair tyes and feminine products free of charge! Total game changer as I have never seen this before! Each bathroom door had the most gorgeous women/men icons, and in the hall you can take a quick selfie in this beautiful mirror.
The service was insane!!! It’s so hard to come by genuinely happy people who seem to love what they do, the server was so kind and the barista was my favorite, her smile lit up the room and she genuinely looked like she loves what she does.
The food was so fresh and most options are on the healthier side, coffee was a 10/10 probably the best I’ve had in the area! And they even have fresh juices and seasonal lemonades and teas which I’ll have to go back to try!
They have a patio area near breezy trees under the lovely sky. They also have a box of large jenga blocks to keep you entertained for quite awhile!
Can’t wait to come back, you guys are...
