Ganache-d, LLC — Restaurant in Cedar City

This ice cream and dessert shop in downtown Cedar City is a great spot for a treat. Located on the main drag in an old theater, the marquee is still there. It is used to call out their goods and entice people into the shop. The environs are cozy and well kept, though not elegant. But you don't go there for the ambiance, however. You go for the goods!

Their ice cream is terrific with a lot of tempting flavors. We're big fans of Biskoff ice cream and theirs lives up to expectations. We paired that with Peanut Butter Cup Brownie ice cream, which was also lovely. We took away a Peanut Butter Marshmallow Crunch bar, which we ate later. We found that to be delightfully decadent.

The service was excellent. The gentleman behind the counter was as friendly and pleasant as it gets and also quite efficient. The prices were very reasonable. I'd highly recommend stopping in if you're in...

That’s about where the positives run out. I should’ve listened to the reviews I read that the brownies were dry and not good overall.

I wish they had some sort of sample to try before committing to the sampler box I bought.

The peanut butter one (not a brownie) was good. I’d buy it again. The other 3 I bought were gross. I’m not the type to throw any food out-especially sweets…that said, the other 3 brownies (salted caramel, cookie dough, and mint) are sitting in my trash can.

Complete dissapointment. I’m not trying to get anything free or even my money back by posting this.

My hope is:

a. The owner takes constructive feedback and either tweaks the recipe, or serves more fresh brownies in the future.

Yesterday, I got an Oreo brownie bomb, a cookie dough brownie, and a caramel apple, all of which were very disappointing. The Oreo brownie bomb did not taste like Oreos. It was dry, crumbly, and had a very gritty consistency. The cookie dough brownie was also extremely dry, crumbly, and gritty in texture. The caramel apple was the better of the three, though the caramel was sooo thin and there weren’t enough toppings. The caramel had a very weak flavor and appeared to not fully set.
