If I could give them no stars I definitely would! I took my cell phone to CPR so they could replace the swollen battery in my S23+ the only concern the tech had was that with the swollen battery slightly pushing up the back of my phone that when they go to take off the back the rest of the way it could possibly break the glass on the back of the phone. A few days later they called that the battery was in. At the time I dropped my phone off it was charging normally & had excellent battery life, the phone was powered on & completely functional, I placed it in maintenance mode & gave it to the technician. They called about an hour & a half later telling us that the phone was done & ready to pick up. When I returned to the store to pick up my phone I was told that there was a problem by the tech, he said that he put the new battery in & my phone wouldn't respond & it must have been a bad battery. He told me that they could order another new battery & try it, in the meantime he could put my old swollen battery back in so I would have my phone back in working order. I agreed to his solution of putting my old battery back in, as my phone was functioning perfectly with the swollen battery in it, although I was completely confused why they told us that my phone was done & ready to pick up, however, now he tells me it's not fixed. After waiting in the store for at least an hour for him to put my old battery back in, he came back up front to tell me the phone wont power on at all. He then told me that it could be a damaged connector & they would order a new battery & should know what was wrong with my device & hopefully have it fixed within a few days. I hadn't heard back from them in a few days so I called them & was told by the tech Isiah that the swollen battery may have caused unseen damage to the phone, I then told him that my phone worked like a new phone still and everything functioned perfectly, the battery was still holding a charge, etc. when I brought it in to have the battery replaced, I had used the phone just before bringing it into the store & that I found it odd that the battery damaged the phone when it worked when I dropped it off. When I was finally called by CPR several days later I was told that my phone was irreparable, they had put the new battery in & it still wouldn't turn on, they also tried replacing some of the flex cables & that didn't work to fix it either. He then told me that by putting the phone in maintenance mode only certain apps & functions work so that could have caused my phone to stop working as well. I took a perfectly functioning phone to them & due to the negligence of a technician it was broken by them & returned to me six days later irreparable according to them. They showed no remorse or that they were sorry, just told me I wouldn't be charged, then seemed surprised that I wanted my phone back. They took no responsibility for their actions or lack of knowledge, instead gave me lame false excuses for what may have happened & made no effort to correct the situation. I now have a phone that is worth $900+ in working order now worth $0.00 since they broke it! I took the phone to a different company to have it looked at & get a second opinion & they agreed that the damage done to my phone was irreparable, however, was not caused by anything done by myself or the swollen battery & the technician was 99.9% sure was caused by the negligence of the CPR technician. I'm left with a $900+ phone that is now worth $0 because of CPR, I can't even use the phone as a trade-in towards a new phone since it won't turn on. I would NOT recommend CPR Cell Phone Repair to my...
Read moreI brought my phone into CPR to repair a broken screen. After they repaired the screen, the power button and front-facing camera stopped working. I used the phone for a while until one day the power drained completely on the phone and I was no longer able to start the phone. I called to schedule the repair with CPR and was told that they had no record of the previous repair. They reluctantly agreed to fix it for free, but after attempting to repair the phone I was told they discovered that the nature of the damage was unrepairable. I was then told that I must not have had it repaired at their location because the screen on the phone was a different kind than the ones they use. They said this meant they were not responsible for the damage to the phone and would not offer any reimbursement, either for the value of the phone, or for the original $300 spent on the screen repair which initially ruined my phone.
Three things are certain to me about CPR after this experience:
Their records-keeping system is unreliable, since they had no record of my repair.
Their parts inventory and ordering process is inconsistent and unreliable, since they did not recognize the screen on my phone as one they normally use for repairs.
They do poor quality work and do not stand behind it.
They have no problem calling their customers liars.
I now have to continue making payments on a phone that wont power on, and I will need to purchase a replacement phone. Do yourself a favor and take your phone somewhere else. It's not work the risk.
Edit: Within an hour if this review, I received a call from both the store owner and the regional manager. They apologized for my experience and the regional manager came to the store and repaired my phone the next day by using a motherboard from...
Read moreWHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW FIRST, I AM A OLD AND SO IS MY PHONE. IN JANUARY 2020, ONE MORNING MY PHONE WAS DEAD. I TOOK TO A REPAIR SHOP CLOSE TO MY HOME, THEY LOOKED AT IT VERY BRIEFLY AND SAID IT WOULD COST MORE TO FIX THAN THE PHONE WAS WORTH!! BROKE MY HEART. SO I WAS ON MY WAY TO BUYING A NEW PHONE, WHICH I DIDN'T WANT TO DO, NOT ONLY BECAUSE OF THE EXPENSE, I LIKED MY LITTLE, OLD PHONE. CLOSE TO THE "PHONE STORE," I SAW QUICK PHIX, AND THE SIGN SAID, "CELL PHONE REPAIR." WELL, WHY NOT GIVE IT A TRY. I WENT IN TO QUICK PHIX AND THREE, YOUNG, PROFESSIONAL MEN WERE THERE AT THE COUNTER. I EXPLAINED TO THEM ABOUT MY PHONE AND WHAT I HAD BEEN TOLD. ONE OF THE GENTLEMAN ADVISED, VERY POLITELY AND PROFESSIONALLY, LEAVE YOUR PHONE W/US FOR A COUPLE OF HOURS AND WE WILL CHECK IT OUT.. I LEFT AND DID SOME SHOPPING. WHEN I RETURNED ONE OF THE GENTLEMAN HANDED ME MY PHONE AND SAID, "YOUR PHONE NEEDED A NEW BATTERY, AND IS GOOD TO GO." I CAN'T TELL YOU HOW VERY PLEASED I WAS. I WAS ABLE TO KEEP MY "LITTLE OLD PHONE!!" THEY ANSWERED MANY OF MY QUESTIONS REGARDING THE CARE OF MY PHONE AND FIXED ANOTHER PROBLEM TOTALLY UNRELATED TO THE BATTERY. I HAVE RECOMENDED QUICK PHIX TO EVERYONE I TALK TO ABOUT CELL PHONE ISSUES, AND WILL CONTINUE TO DO SO.
I WILL END THIS BY SAYING, I HAVE A COMPUTER. OF COURSE IT IS OLD TOO!!! I HAVE PLANNED TO TAKE TO QUICK PHIX TO CHECK AND SEE IF IT SHOULD BE REPAIRED OR ….. HOWEVER IF I WIN THIS IPAD, I WON'T NEED A REPAIRED OR NEW COMPUTER.
THANK YOU QUICK PHIX,...
