Taco John's — Restaurant in Cedar Falls

For starters, service is 1 star because the burritos don’t fill themselves, someone’s back there shaking the spoon to put only one teaspoon of meat on a soft taco. Food tastes great if you forgot how much you just spent on it. $9 “super burrito”? Weighs in at 1/3 of a Pancheros burrito.

What is it, laziness? “Give everyone extremely small portions so that we don’t have to cook more meat”?

Not to mention, if I order a large ole, I expect to receive it. I don’t know whether to chalk it up to the game or go and chew someone out. Rarely am I disrespectful to the hand that feeds me, but I’ll gladly pay what they’re asking if it’s actually in my bag and contains the 14g of protein or 32g of protein that is advertised.

The University Ave Taco John’s has let me down for the 10th time at least. It blows my mind they’re still in business some days.

By the way, my girlfriend asked for extra lettuce, not less...

Very disgusted by drive through service at Taco John's on University in Cedar Falls. Wore a mask and visor to pick up order. Woman taking money and giving out food was not wearing a mask and there was no plastic divider as have seen in the past. I asked her if staff were required to wear a mask and she wasn't having any of it. Told her we would complain, she said go ahead and she just about threw our food at us. Closed up her window abruptly. Did not give us the ketchup, sauce we had asked for when ordering. Would not suggest going there as anyone filling your order has to yell at you to communicate about your order potentially spreading the virus and the company doesnt appear to be interested in protecting you. I went through the drive-through and I always order the same thing - two crispy beef tacos with hot sauce . I should’ve checked my order right away, but I was halfway home and realized I got two soft tacos and they did not provide hot sauce. I drove all the way across town to get my corrected order. Given the inconvenience, I would’ve expected to be able to keep both the wrong order and jjalso my correct order. The people that corrected my order tried to convey that I actually ordered soft tacos, which is laughable because I do not like them and also insisted that I go retrieve the incorrect tacos in order to get my corrected order.
