Five stars definitely deserves every one of them. If you’re in town and you just want to have a great meal for the The night this is the place now if you are a family of five when they actually say if it’s a family of four you could feed a family of five on it. Is the first place and a long time that is not stingy with the amount of food you get . parents as myself know how hard it is to find something to feed our children I have adult kids so I had the luxury of having nineties children where we could actually feed our family on five to six dollars the entire family now you’re paying twenty to three dollars to go to McDonald’s to eat food that doesn’t even get a one star . This decade and generation will eat anything the food is horrible and I will say that this restaurant has brought back my faith and food and that is a home cooked taste like something you would get for twice the amount of money. A gallo this decade and generation will eat anything the food is horrible and I will say that this restaurant has brought back my faith and food and that is a home-cooked taste like something you would get for twice the amount of money. I went to the store and I bought spaghetti garlic bread and spaghetti sauce and a few seasonings and I can’t tell is $10 tonight I went and ate there and we got a half a gallon of spaghetti to go and when we got home we could not believe that it was more spaghetti than what we cooked last week for only $10. For a couple more dollars you get a half a loaf of bread garlic bread. I have an eaten here twice and I plan on eating here and trying everything on the menu. I recommend this to anybody coming in town driving through town are that live in town. Read moreWould not recommend this place until they get their act together. I thought about giving them the benefit of the doubt with 2-stars since they haven't been open long but there is also a Via Sofia's in Cedar Rapids and they've been "getting ready to open" at this location for months so you'd think some of the kinks worked out.
I ordered their baked manicotti dinner and an extra half loaf of garlic bread. I asked to substitute the salad for something else like more garlic bread but they said they could do soup. When asked what kind of soups they have I was given the choice between 'beef or chicken.' I decided on the mystery beef soup. The whole order came to nearly $15. Then I waited. And waited. And waited some more. At least four orders that were put in after mine were served. In the mean time, one of the other customers who were dining in had to ask several times for the garlic bread they'd orderd. They didn't get it until they were literally walking out the door. I stood there for at least 20 minutes, probably closer to 30, until finally I had to ask what was going on. The food magically appeared ready to go moments after that.
When I was finally able to dig in, I was sorely disappointed. The soup was cold, didn't even bother trying it. Looked like some sort of vegetable beef soup. Definitely not an Italian soup. The bread was barely baked and quite pathetic in quality. The manicotti itself was overcooked mush filled with bland cheese, the sauce tasted like they poured it out of a can then cut a bunch of chunks of onion into it and the whole thing was topped with a blob of melted mozzarella that couldn't be cut into. Pretty clear to me everything they're serving is frozen and reheated. Nothing actually made in house. If you're looking for pizza and pasta, go to Villa Italian at College Square, Doughy Joey's, or...
Read morePoor service. Untrustable. I ordered for delivery for a meeting with suppliers. I placed the order a week a head of time, "confirmed" an order with who I assumed was the manager. Although I should have gone with my gut and cancelled then and there, because I didn't hear the methodical process of the order being written down or typed in to any POS, I gave them the benefit of the doubt. Day of, they were supposed to deliver at 11 30, but was waiting for a confirmation at 11 00, gave them time until 11 30. Called them to find out if they were going to be delivering the order. When they picked up they seemed confused and were "too busy" to even talked to me at that time. They said they had to give me a "call" back. Couldn't even give me the decency to tell me if they had made the order or not, so I had to stop them before they hung up on me to ask if there was anything made. There was obviously nothing. What a joke. Had the food once, nothing special and I actually thought it was...
