Certain area's (floor and the tables) that were unoccupied in the restuarant at direct glance were unclean. Allow me to give a somewhat thorough breakdown for this review for my foodies and enthusiasts: The kitchen is exposed to the patrons so, one can view everything that goes on. Good Job on that... However the malarkey must be revealed. In my most honest and sincere opinion; these people need to be shutdown.
Customer Service was trash, garbage, dumpster juice and that's being nicely put. 2a. The cashier was rude and condescending to the previous patron so, I should've expected that for me as well, but I didn't want to assume. 2b. The cashier was singing loudly and might I add out of tune and badly performing off beat. 3a. The cook didn't have a hair net on to keep her loosely hanging dreads from reaching the food. 3b. The cook also had way too much attitude and sass to just be a cook. "Shut up and cook if you dont know how to demonstrate proper protocol and procedure of GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE"! 3c. The cook had way too much food on that small grill and in my opinion, the food was probably undercooked. The way she was rushing to plate the food for the customers 4. Needless to say, after all of that, I received my food at for the price I paid for the trash I got; let's just say I wouldn't feed it to a rodent. And it was left there with those who had the unmitigated gall to serve me that so called mess! 4a. To sum this up, the food and service alone is enough to have this place condemned in my opinion. This was one of the most horrible experiences yet in Food and Customer Service that I've had. We as patrons don't owe you people anything especially our money that, WE WORK HARD FOR!!!! You people have your nerve to be rude and condescending to those who come to patronize your business to keep you people in business. 5. Learn how to be good at just more than over charging people for garbage (food) I wouldn't want in my trash bag. *5b. Disgusted and disappointed from people of your own likeness and culture is an understatement. Yep, I went there and I...

It has been almost 3 months to the day that I first went to this fine establishment, and to my surprise, as well as delight, I was greeted by some of the most warmest and friendliness people I had met in a while. The story is to long to tell of how I came to be at Mister James on Saturday, February 24, 2018 a rainy day in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area; but I must say, the sun was shining bright inside Mister James on that day.
I was greeted by a beautiful young lady named Sha, who promptly sat me and told me that my waitress would be with me shortly, and no sooner than she said that, I met Noni my waitress; and as they say: "It was On," Noni made me aware of the specials along with the favorites that most people order; I myself order the Wings, Grits, Eggs, and those GREAT BISCUITS, along with coffee and water.
The food wasn't good, but in the words of Tony the Tiger; "IT WAS GREAATT!!!!!" I mean the wings was so good, grits just like mama's, the eggs cook to order, and those biscuits; well, "MY, MY, MY.
The atmosphere was very pleasant, and clean, I being a Food Safety Instructor, am always in various restaurants nationwide, and one of the things that we observe is the cleanliness of the establishment, and I must say that Mister James in Cedar Hills was quite clean.
After eating and being stuffed, as well as completely satisfied with the food, I had the pleasure of meeting one of the owners/chefs whose name was Crystal, and she too was so down to earth and very pleasant; so if you are ever in the Dallas/FT. Worth Area and need somewhere to eat a great breakfast or Lunch don't hesitate to go to Mister James at 108 W. Belt Line Rd....
Read morePROS: Wow!! Where do I start?! This place is only open for breakfast / early lunch hours. Seat yourself when you walk in. Service is great! Shae was our waitress and she is super nice, attentive, and quick! The place is very clean. They play gospel music which is a nice touch, it makes it feel like mom cooking at home. The food is perfect! I had the fish & grits, I tasted someone else's bacon at my table, I had a waffle, biscuit, hash brown, and OJ. The portions were so generous I didn't finish all of it! The fried catfish was the best I've ever tasted! Crisp, made to order, seasoned perfectly. The bacon was good and thick! No complaints on food! CONS: THE FISH IS OVERPRICED!!! $4 for about half a filet of catfish. That needs redoing. But the restaurant is only open for 5 hours a day, so I get the hustle, but that’s not proper pricing. The payout process is a pain. We had to go up to the front counter at the end and try to remember all the items we had and they had to sort through it and then charge us and we paid there. That's not a convenient setup for customers. There were 4 of us all paying separately. My suggestion would be for the waiter to write out our orders on those order pads and give one to each of us before we walk over to the front counter. Then all we have to do is pay the number on the ticket at...
