The last time I visited was quite a while ago. It had a different name, different management, and different service staff. So, I assume it also had different management (though it has always been Mexican food). The menu is quite similar to what it was previously. The salsa served with chips and upon request for your meal, is not only new, it is significantly tastier than before. The food was pretty good as well, though I would not call it excellent. The quantities were large, but I still felt somewhat expensive. However, my largest complaint was with the service. I will have to return to determine if that is an ongoing problem or just an off day. It was slow and had to ask repeatedly for several items. If you were lucky enough to be close to the kitchen area, you had no problem. One time I asked the other waitress to bring something I had asked for several times. Her reply, "She hasn't brought that to you yet? " I found very odd. No ma'am, that is why I am still asking. I am sure we will go back, though not in a rush to do so. It is clean and close to home, but there are better deals and service to be found in the Cedar Hill and...
Read moreAt first I was pretty skeptical I'll be honest here. It's a small little place as you drive past. But I was pleasantly surprised (and even a bit impressed) when we entered. It's a small cozy little place. The gentleman at the front who seated us was very polite and even cracked a few jokes to make everyone laugh. The food was delicious. My youngest daughter ordered the soft taco platter, 3 of the biggest soft tacos I have seen lol. And serves with a smaller plate containing refried beans, Spanish rice and guacamole with pico and lettuce. My middle daughter, husband and myself all ordered the chicken fajitas. Each of ours came with the same smaller plate on the side. The fajitas were delivered still sizzling to the table and my the chicken was tender juicy and absolutely fantastic!!! My eldest daughter ordered the beef enchiladas platter and said it was amazing. And here's the part that really brought it home...we are a family of 5..we ate very well and they were great sized plates...our check was totalled at 47$ . (Including drinks of course) if you are even over that way in cedar hill I HIGHLY recommend that...
Read moreWe discovered this place a few months ago. We have been so delighted with the food, service and prices! The tortilla chips come with free queso! We usually get enchiladas, fajitas, flautas, pollo al pastor...all of it wonderful! My son keeps telling us they make wonderful breakfast dishes. We tried their biscuits one night with our meal (yes, they serve biscuits anytime!). They were like my grandmother used to make. Soft, fluffy and delicious! I couldn't believe it. Today, my wife got the grilled chicken (I got the same meal but had two pork chops!). It comes with 3 sides and toast (we got biscuits.) $7.99 each!!!! All the prices are like that. So much good food. Both of us had broccoli as a side. My wife asked if she could have some with no cheese sauce. They brought us 3 sides of fresh, steamed broccoli. Crazy. We were so happy! I even got a to-go box. Only 3rd time in my life!!! I was stuffed. Just ate my leftovers for supper. So good. I hope this place stays in business for a long...
